Official Arsenal America CL Final Ticket Request Announcement Where are you watching the final?
Apr 27

Update 5/2 - Turns out FSC will be showing the match…at 4 PM ET. I’m still planning on being there, and hope that most of you do too!

To commemorate the final game at Highbury, Arsenal America are pleased to announce that we’ll be holding a gathering at Nevada Smiths in New York to take in what will surely be an emotional day at the Home of Football.

However, this is all tentative on the match being televised here in the States. The general consensous at the moment is that Arsenal v Wigan will be the PPV match that day, but that’s yet to be announced officially.

I didn’t want to wait any longer before making the announcement, so as to allow people to start planning on being in NY on the day.

Kickoff is @ 10 AM ET. The pub is located @ 74 Third Ave, between 11th and 12th Streets.

For more information on Nevada Smiths, see their website:

www.nevadasmiths.net

If you are interested in joining in the festivities, please comment this post. If more than a handful of people express interest, I’ll contact the pub to let them know we’re coming… :)

Nothing in stone, yet, but I’m very interested. Stag?

    That’s what I was waitin’ fer…
Let’s see how it plays out Scotty.
    But I am also interested.

  4. ScottyUS Says:

Cool. I’ve got the word out to a few Arsebloggers who live in the area, too.

I’m really interested and if I’m in the city I will come!I’d like to come and meet some of my fellow posters and other Gunners.

Just now I don’t know because I’m working on a large public War Monument up here in Canada. If the engineers and manufacturers find a slow down in production, then I’ll be there. I’m the artist and designer so they need me around.
Just now we’re in full swing, so I’m reluctant to commit.

My wife can just barely tolerate me watching midday games during the week but running down to the city for a few days for a soccer gathering would just about have me singing soprano after she’d be done with me. I knew I shouldn’t have remarried Linda Bobbit :)~ ouch

I haven’t been paid yet, so it’s not like I could get her to come with me and shop til she drops down in Soho. Forbid the thought she’d probably want to shop on 5th or anywhere btw 57th and 50th. Damn she doesnt need more Bulgari or Dior.

I’m so glad I’ve found this place — and just in time, too! Was beginning to wonder if there were any Arsenal supporters groups in the States.
As for checking out the last match at fabled Highbury with a group of rowdy Gooners: Hell’s Yeah!
It’s great to know I won’t have to do all my shouting alone!

Boro are un-freaking-believable in the UEFA Cup.
They just came from 3-0 down AGAIN, to win and advance to the Finals.
Good Luck to them man… impressive.

Thierry Henry has been named Footballer of the Year for a record third time by the Football Writers’ Association

    He deserves it!!

  9. SachinG Says:

I have not gotten a chance to see any of the highlights of Boro’s games but yeah it is amazing what they have been achieving. Their home fans must really be in dreamland.

They dismantled ManU and Chelsea at home in the league, 4-1 and 3-0 respectively. They beat Arsenal at home and have had a couple of 4 goal thrillers in the UEFA Cup. Amazing.

  10. gerard Says:

Yes he does! We’re not worthy but damn our we happy.

  11. jahames Says:

I’ll be there…have to represent for Highbury’s last game

  12. flim_flam_man Says:

I’ll be there with at least one other gooner friend. See you on the 7th!

  13. dkilpatrick Says:

Already posted this on the BS thread, but want to cover both bases…
