Arsenal America Gathering in NYC on May 7th - The last match @ Highbury Latest Podcast now available
Apr 28

I’m compiling a list of pubs where members, branch offices, et. al. will be watching the UEFA Champions League final on May 17th. We’re already getting some emails from people over from the UK for the game (i.e. visiting in the US for whatever reason) and wanting to meet up with ArsenalAmerica members to watch the match from Paris.

Feel free to reply, PM or email andrew@arsenalamerica.com with your details and we’ll post a block on the side with pubs and contacts should you want or need to find some folks for this epic event.

UPDATE. We have had requests from UK gunners over here that week for the following cities:

Akron, OH?
Las Vegas, NV?
Orlando, FL?
Cleveland, OH?

The list will grow.

It’s been lucky for us so far!

  3. CarletonGooner Says:

There will be gooners watching the final at Carleton College in Northfield, MN. Any and all gooners in the area who aren’t going to the local to see the match are more than welcome to come. Contact Elliot at wysee@carleton.edu for details.

  4. SilverSpring-Gooner Says:

Anybody know if The Arsenal is really going to wear a one off red and black shirt for the final? I saw a post on Arsenal Talk that they were because Barca wants to wear an orange shirt. I hope they don’t do that, bad luck and those are Man U colors.

    Who is the home team?

  5. SilverSpring-Gooner Says:

Just looked on UEFA.com and Barca is listed first, Barca VS Arsenal, so I guess they are the home team. Maybe a one off shirt is going to happen.

  6. Galaxy_Gooner Says:

  9. SilverSpring-Gooner Says:

not a true story, I’m an ass

  10. stag133 Says:

PROBABLY, at the Phoenix Landing in Cambridge, MA…
If I don’t take the entire afternoon off to watch at my house.
Not sure if I want to be around people if we lose!

  11. USGunner Says:

The George and Dragon is probably the best place in Phoenix to watch a match. It is a true pub atmosphere. Unfortunately, it is a bit far from where I work, so a buddy and I are going to Fox Sports Grill in Scottsdale. They should have it up on their big projection screen system above the bar. The food is overpriced but the restaurant is quite nice. There’s also plenty of scenery to look at aside from the game.

  12. Seattlegooner Says:

The George and Dragon in Seattle. They’re showing the game in Hi-Def.

  13. faresk82 Says:

    In Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Fox and Hounds (Corporate and College Dr.)

  14. mcavanaugh Says:

I’ll be watching at The Banshee in Dorchester (Boston), MA…anyone in the area will be welcomed by the owner, Ray Butler, an Irishman and true gentleman…that and he buys me a pint of Guinness when I go in!

  15. ScottyUS Says:

I usually feel the same way, but mostly about league games or agasint league competition. I know I’ll be gutted if we lose, but it’ll hardly be something to be ashamed of. Barca are considered the best club in the world by most. I just hope we play well.

The FA Cup final was on I didn’t want to lose. I bricked it the entire match and when we won it was Euphoria. So great to have Gooners you’ve never met before come up and celebrate with you. Its like finding family you didn’t know you had.

But I’ll for sure be at the Dark Horse with MikeK. Hopefully it’ll be a repeat fo the last time we were there together!

  16. acheung Says:

Hey guys, longtime read first time poster.

I know this isn’t the most apropos thread to ask, but is it possible to get tickets to the CL final? On the Arsenal site it says you have to be a season ticket holder to be eligible for the lottery, but I have to imagine there are other outlets. Help please?

  17. Bluto11 Says:

    What time is the kickoff?

  19. gerard Says:

I loved your photo’s — you’ve photographed some really beautiful woman. I have a lot of friends living upstate, so I was curious what you did and checked out your website. I’m glad I did, nice work!

  20. Jon Says:

The kickoff is at 8:45pm local Paris time, which means 1:45 Central American time, like usual.

If I can stand to be out of the house, I’ll be at the Local in Minneapolis as well.

  21. RockyMtnArsenal Says:

I imagine that there will be quite a few of us there…

  22. crazycat717 Says:

I’m in Cleveland, OH and intend to watch the game @ Fox N Hound.

    Any Cleveland Gooners here????

  23. reyes09 Says:

i am from cleveland. i will most likely be there, which one will you be at? i know of two, som center rd, and day drive. also, will they let 15 year olds in? that would be disastrous if they didnt, i might miss part of the game.

  24. andrew Says:

There are about three posts on this site and on Bigsoccer about this. Your only hope is via touts or ebay. There will be nothing available from the club unless you are a season ticket holder and even then it is tough.

  25. thebleacherlife Says:

I just got word that I will be in Grand Rapids, Michigan on the 17th. My work should be finished by 2 pm EDT, but I am at a loss of where to watch the game. Any help? Please! Thanks.

  30. revelation Says:

I would recommend the Lucky Bar at 18th and Connecticut NW. There will likely be a lot of fans from both teams.

Avoid the ESPN Zone like the plague. They probably won’t even show the game.

  31. VaVaVoomTiti Says:

NYC, is anybody interested in avoiding the Nevada’s rush and going to a quieter local, i have spoke to a few bars on the UES who would consider offering us some specials AND as this is an ESPN match, it should be available in HI DEF or look better on a newer tele, cheers, ste

  32. DFWGOONER Says:

Since I am unable to take the day off work and make it to Trinitiy Hall in time I am going to be catching the match at Duffy’s Sports Grille.
    They are located at:
    8604 N. MacArthur
    Irving, TX 75063
I have called Bridgette and verified that they do have ESPN2 and they will reserve one of their sets for the match.
If anyone is in this area and and is in the same boat that I am in stop on in.

  33. jools Says:

Toronto - Duke of Gloucester. Anybody wants to get in touch with me before the game - jools.mouse@rogers.com

  34. doogie05 Says:

    Fox and Hound, Cary, NC

One hound only - not to be confused with The 2 G’s left coast establishment (not that there’s anything wrong with that!)

Anyone remotely inthe neighborhood who might be up for it, PM or email me if you’d like a wingman.

BTW, USA men’s team will be in training camp from 9th May onwards in Cary, so there’s more to do than just watch the match!

  35. mobjack Says:

@ the Penny Lane Pub in Richmond, VA. Any interested gooners PM mobjack @ the big soccer messageboards.

  36. AndrewH Says:

In NYC. Just called Nevada’s and they’re FULL.
    Anyone got any other ideas???

    Tks.
