I’d like to make a request….Please, please don’t announce the scores in the header of your posts.
This is twice in one week.
Even though it’s a friendly, some of us go to great pains to record the games for viewing when work and travel schedules allow. When the score is so boldly announced, it ruins the enjoyment of watching the game. Can we please institute some sort of post naming convention (like on BigSoccer) that will shield visitors from the score until they open the post?

while a friendly doesnt really mean thaaat much….i’ll go ahead and guess that we probably wont’ be using my favored 4-3-3…….seems like wenger is sticking with his 4-4-2.
now i think wenger has only one position he wants to buy in…central defence……and he only has 2 players he really is interested in: someone pure class - Gallas OR a good, strong english defender - Davies. he knows it is improbable for him to get gallas…but he is ready to wait, and wait and waaaait for davies….maybe even till january! (i think!).
i also fear he might have settled on fabregas, gilberto, flamini and song for CM !!!!! he might pounce if someone he’s been looking at becomes available, but i dont think he’s actively looking for someone to come in.
he’s probably crossing his fingers that these four can hold on till january/february when diaby comes back. hmmm…we’ll see!
so guys don’t be suprised if we have this team at the start of the season without really taking injury into account:

I hope we dont meet some strong east europeans or (horror) a spanish, italian or even french/dutch/german team

its still quite likely he goes out on loan….this might just be putting him in the window to attract potential buyers
last summer he played friendlies and scored in them too…..

if you are TRYING to avoid the score of ANY match, even if its a friendly, WHY WOULD YOU GO TO AN ARSENAL SITE?????
Try avoiding the soccer sites if you are trying to avoid the score.
We come here to discuss the match… not avoid the score of it.
We OFTEN give in game commentary on what is occuring while the match is being played. (redundant but factual)

Aliadiare is not going on loan Fred.
Its either NOW or NEVER.
He’s either playing in the first team, or he’s leaving. He’s had enough of the loans to D1 teams. He has stated he want do the loan crap again this season.

Here are a few reasons why I stopped by an Arsenal site today (even though I’m trying to avoid the score):
-Transfer news.
-Check to see if payment is due for kits
But the bigger issue is that its difficult with RSS readers to avoid headlines. I’d like to keep ArseAm in my list so that I can keep in touch with the communtiy.
I’m not trying to start an argument, I’m just making a request for some courtesy. It’s not too difficult to keep the score out of the post headers. Look at the post naming convention at BigSoccer. It works well and doesn’t seem to bother anyone.

for CL Lehman will be banned for three games following his sending off in the CL final.
I also doubt whether Henry would play in this game. So you would have Reyes up front.
Cygan would hopefully be sold by then.
Lastly I read in an English newspaper that this season you had to name your squad on the 5th August for the CL of 25 players and 4 of those had to be home grown.

I think Clichy, Cole, Senderos, Djourou, Aliadiere, Flamini, Fabregas, Toure, Diaby, Lupoli and Bendtner count as home-grown. You can easily see four of them in any list of 25.

Just been on the UEFA website.
Page 28 is what we need to look at:

It says the player must have been at the club for three years between 15 and 21.
Assuming Cole leaves that means, you cant include, Toure, Diaby, Lupoli, Bendtner, Djourou and Clichy I think. So Senderos might be the only player that has been at AFC for three years between 15 and 21. I am not sure if Fabregas will count as he has only been with us 2 1/2 seasons.
Toure, has been with us for over 3 years, but he joined when he was 19 or 20 meaning he did not spend three years with us between 15 and 21.

With Ljundberg out injured, we might see Ali get some playing time on the right side of midfield. Don’t think Wenger will let him go on loan this time round. This season is make or break for him…….
