We don’t overpay, and we don’t buy British… just the facts really!
However… up north… quietly… ManU is doing … both! Good or Bad? You be the judge.
I’ve seen people writing off Manchester United on this site, fairly regularly… and I am usually baffled by it. You knew/know they are going to spend money and make moves to improve. They always do. They had a big hole to fill in their midfield, and they are definitely taking some big steps to fill it… and not for the short term either. (see: Edgar Davids)
Then there are...

Are we protected enough in the League? Somehow I get the feeling that all teams here know they can’t match us technically and hence take advantage of the lax physical rules laid down by the FA which are consistently upheld by incompetent refreeing. Kicking is a rule as far as Arsenal goes. If Arsenal play, we kick. Period. There’ve been few exceptions… West Ham , Man City , Wigan , Boro , Spurs…
….. but as for the rest, they all kick, well, most...

Look to your right to vote for your choice for the “2005-2006 Arsenal America Player Of The Year” award. I was fortunate enough to present the vase in person to last year’s winner, Thierry Henry. Will TH14 add another vase to his cabinet, or will it go to Jens Lehmann? Perhaps Cesc Fabregas? What about Kolo Toure?
The winning player will receive a vase and an accompanying presentation stand, whether we’re selected to present a trophy in person or not.
The voting closes September...

Why we don’t shoot more
AFC are often accused of over-elaboration. ?SHOOT!? scream frustrated Arsenal fans while the opposition blanket the top of their penalty area with 6, 7, or even up to 10 men. For all the fans? complaints and frustration, quick passing and direct attacks ending with a simple effort from close range have been our signature for the better part of Wenger?s reign. An approach that?s been successful and that?s excited both supporters and neutrals. Wenger buys players who can play skillful, thrusting, fast-paced football. Sure they can shoot, but Arsenal play to...

I was fairly impressed with Walcott’s debut. He only played 15 minutes, and you can’t really judge anything based on that. However, we at last got to see his approach to the game, and his attitude.

I haven’t been posting regularly as my schedule has been crazy. How crazy? Well, so far this year I’ve been to England (March), Germany (April) Monaco (May), Germany (June/July) and England/Hungary (July/August). I’ve been to see Arsenal, the Monaco Grand Prix, The World Cup and the Hungarian Grand Prix. I’ve hung out with Lothar Matthaus, met Lukas Podolski and been on the plane next to Wyclef Jean. The highlight though was dinner with Rick B at the Morrocan place.
But now a new season begins. What does it hold for the Arsenal? Here’s what I see…

Ooooooops, wrong song.
Reyes and Cole… Cole and Reyes…

Do it or don’t. Be done with it Arsene. Enough already.
QUOTE:
“Should I stay or should I go now?
Should I stay or should I go now?
If I go there will be trouble
An’ if I stay it will be double
So come on and let me know… “
Couldn’t really say it better.
Do we want DOUBLE TROUBLE?
Do we want TWO players in the clubhouse who simply do NOT want...

While I’m sure that many people watch at home, or perhaps at a friends, what I’m asking is, “When you go to a pub/bar to watch a match, where do you go?”
I’d like to get a master list going on ArsenalAmerica.com in time for the revamp which should be completed soon. (Andrew’s a REALLY busy guy these days.)
I’ll start:
Philadelphia, PA:
Dark Horse Pub
Wilmington, DE:
Catherine Rooney’s
