Well so far .. the few previews I’ve done have been lucky and we’ve won every game so here’s hoping that the law of averages doesnt choose to catch up in this crucial crucial game.

There’s 4 battles according to me:
1.Henry-Ade/RVP against Ferdinand/Vidic
Will our strike force score against arguably the best defensive pairing this season when they are on form? If they do so twice we’ll win.

2.Scholes/Carrick against Cesc/Flamini
Michael Carrick has finally scored and will go into this game on a high and Scholes will play a...

Its been a few months since the November invasion of Emirates stadium by many of us here, and while we debate the pointlessness of posts about winning the title (I’m sure Wenger is telling his coming into form and maturing young team to start living in the “real world”) and look forward with excitement or dread depending on which side of the grass you live to the ManUre game on Sunday, I though it was high time to write a little something about our visit. In doing so, hopefully some of you will gather enough insight to make the next trip, and maybe others will simply enjoy...

I will be in San Jose between Jan 19 and Feb 4. I’ll be staying and working near Tasman Drive. Please suggest on which TV channels I can catch Arsenal games in the EPL, FA Cup and Carling Cup, specifically the ManU game on Jan 21. Is there any place nearby where Arsenal fans get together to watch the games live?

Thanks

Replacing Gilberto requires three main things:

1/ The ability to break up the opponents play, and avoid cautions/ free kicks where possible.

2/ To pass the ball out of the Arsenal side of the pitch playing simple 10 yard balls to the creative midfielders in the team. This might sound like I am dumming down his role but get this right and we keep possesion and build play.

3/ Protect the back four. OK Clichy & Eboue do go forward a lot and this is a good point. The also go for 50 - 50 balls which if they win them, looks amazing, but if they lose them they look silly....

Portsmouth swoop in to take another veteran Arsenal defender.
Lauren is headed to a good Portsmouth team. He will make them better on defense… guaranteed.

Nothing but good solid play from Lauren in his time at Arsenal. Part of all the titles in recent years… never shoots his mouth off… no bullshite… no showboating or diving… JUST a CLASS PLAYER, who always gave his all.

Sorry, but this one doesn’t make any sense.
Lauren is BETTER than anyone we currently...

Manchester United and Arsenal are ranked one and two, respectively, in the number of goals scored in the Premiership so far this season.

Man U = 52 goals
Arsenal = 43 goals

Manchester United and Arsenal are also ranked one and two in goal difference this year.

Man U = 36 goals
Arsenal = 24 goals (tied with Chelsea)

So, why are these two teams not 1st and 2nd in the league table?

Thierry Henry’s wonder strike in the 70th minute sealed the three points for 10-man Arsenal against Blackburn this afternoon.

A dubious straight red card on Gilberto after the Brazilian was brought down by Robbie Savage meant that the Gunners were a man down for nearly 80 minutes.

Arsenal played the counter-attack to perfection, earning a free kick in the 37th minute, which Kolo Toure got his head to to put the Gunners up 1-0 at the half.

We make the trip to Ewood Park with Blackburn on a high. Pedersen has been saying that the Arsenal game saved their season. Hopefully they will still come out and play. The 6-2 scoreline anyway didnt do justice to Blackburn’s last performance at The Grove so they’ll be looking to set that right.

Benni Mccarthy is in hot form and looking good. Bentley is suspended for this one so that’s good. We’ll have to keep Mccarthy and Pedersen quiet and stop Tugay from shooting from distance and look to dominate Lucas Neill in defense. If we do that we should win.

RVP...

I fully understand AW’s policy of playing the kids in the Carling Cup to help them gain experience of playing in big matches, and I expect him to keep faith with the same squad that defeated Liverpool 6-3 this week for the two games against Tottenham in the semis.

But here’s the dilemma…..should we advance to the Final, if you were Wenger would you still select the same team for Cardiff or with the prospect of winning some silverware (with a passport to Europe attached as well) would you start Messrs Henry and co to make sure we end up with something in the cabinet this...

Just a thought, but he would go from being one of the best CBs in the world, to easily the best RB in the world!

A defence then of Clichy-Senderos/Djorou-Gallas-Toure?. That is such a good defence it is scary!

With 4 top class CHs, Arsene is going to need to find a way to keep them all happy, otherwise Senderos and Djourou will start agitating for a move? could this be the way, or will Toure be unhappy at RB?

Athough this could all be a moot point if Gallas never recovers fitness!

Also, does anyone know Gilbert?s form has been at Cardiff? Would he be challenging...
