I’m looking for any pub that would show a game, since my house has no cable… well, REAL basic cable… so if anybody could help, that would be great. Particularly anything in the Narragansett area, but I’m willing to travel to Providence or elsewhere if it’s the closest showing… Thanks.
At the start of the season there were some guys here that wanted Arsenal to play 4-3-3, including me. Don’t confuse, 4-3-3 like Holland, not 4-3-3 like Chelsea used to play which was more 4-5-1.
Well in the Carling Cup this season Wenger has opted for this formation and guess what? Three wins on the road against the likes of WBA, Everton and Liverpool. The first two games against WBA and Everton I didn’t watch, but I watched yesterday’s humiliation that we did to the “mighty” Reds. We played 4-3-3 with Song as a holding midfielder and Cesc in the central...

I hope the two victories over Liverpool at Anfield will finally convince the doubters our youth policy is carrying us into a RIGHT direction.
Put it this way: you look at Liverpool, they were disappointed in two games. They probably would improve a bit in the future. Or probably would go out and buy a few players in the January transfer window or the coming summer. But the problem facing them is - unless their take-over talk becomes a reality, they simply have no financial strength to match with Chelsea for the best talent available. So they will again go for the second best - the...

The Beast went absolutely crazy, scoring four goals as Arsenal win a wild League Cup Quarterfinal, beating Liverpool 6-3 at Anfield this afternoon.
Jeremie Aliadiere opened the scoring 27 minutes into the match, but his goal was quickly canceled out by a 33rd minute Robbie Fowler strike.
It seemed that the sides would be going in level at the half, but in the last five minutes to go before the break, the Gunners exploded for 3 more goals, Alex Song bagging a goal in the 40th minute, and Julio Baptista scoring...

In the draw held today in London, Arsenal were drawn at home against yet another Premiership side, Bolton, for the fourth round of the FA Cup.
The tie will be played on either the 26th, 27th or 28th of January.
When news came saying Henry would be out for a few weeks, my first reaction was - he was DROPPED.
Yes, perhaps he did has an injury, but I did not believe it’s serious enought to keep him away for a few weeks.
His form was indifferent. And he hardly seemed like trying at all on the pitch. Something had to be done. I remember DannyT once suggested Wenger would never has the nerve to drop his star man. I, too, shared Danny’s view.
But Wenger proved us wrong.

Arsenal win without Fabregas.
MOTM: Rosicky who struck 2 superb goals against the run of play. The first goal (37′) came off a 1-2 with Hleb with Rosicky’s shot coming from the top of the box in the (R) channel. The second goal (45′) came after his brilliant solo run where he beat 3 players.
Henry scored the 3rd goal (86′) in a solo effort that reminds one and all that he is the ‘WIND’, he is the man, he is Henry. Hoyte who had come on for an injured...

We go to Anfield. It’s probably one of the toughest places to play football after Celtic Park. The crowd will be absolutely magnificent if you’re a Liverpool fan and extremely intimidating. Liverpool don’t lose at home. But all good things eventually come to an end. Will the kids do it this time? Can Titi pull himself up for a big big big game and inspire us to a win? Its not so much about the FA Cup..its about winning at Anfield which I beleive is a tougher venue than Old Trafford or Stamford Bridge.
If we win it’ll be a big big boost for the entire team and will...

It seems that another very talented player is leaving Arsenal for first team football. This is in today’s newspaper ‘The Sun’.
“Charlton have agreed a ?2.7million fee for Arsenal hitman Anthony Stokes.
Valley boss Alan Pardew hopes the Republic of Ireland B ace, 18, will get the goals to keep the Addicks in the Premiership.
The deal will be completed when Pardew offloads some of the big-money flops signed by Iain Dowie last summer.
Celtic and Sunderland also wanted Stokes, who got 16 goals in 18 games while on loan with Falkirk.
Stokes...
