With the current poor run of form…

Look at the bright side: at least the remaining fixtures will now keep our backsides firmly on the edge of the seat! Watching football with nothing at stake would be a bit boring wouldn’t it?! ;) It has also proved that the current Arsenal side is determined to substain the Arsenal TRADITION - we like to do things the HARD WAY!

Another bright side: At least it’s NOW we found out we have in fact got only THREE strikers...

Let’s look at the league schedules remaining for Arsenal, Bolton, Everton, and Tottenham – teams currently 4th through 7th, and with a chance at the last CL spot.

Arsenal has a game in hand over all the others (Gunners have 7 remaining – all others have 6) — a BIG plus for us.

Everton arguably has the toughest schedule (Man U and Chelsea) and Tottenham the easiest, but Sp*rs have the farthest to climb (48 pts to Arsenal’s 55).

For Arsenal, it comes down to the game at hand, the game versus Bolton, and the Bolton v Everton game today.

Hi,

Yea, I know–no stories for a few days.  Sorry about all that.  As some of you noticed we were hacked last week and it took awhile to fix.  We’re underway on something new that should help minimize those problems (ergo, slow posting).

Anyway, 3 tough games and a lot of mail.  We’ll try to get it all posted today.

Well? Why so quiet? Why aren’t we posting anymore? Is it because we’ve sucked in the last 3 games? Is it because there’s nothing to talk about? Or is it because we’re just plain disinterested because we wont win anything this year?

I agree. We’re going through an absolutely disastrous run of form. We’ve been beaten by a lapse of concentration at Everton , a horrendous performance at Anfield , a stupid goal against Westham and have just apparently drawn at St James Park. We’ve forgotten how to score goals , our 4th and 5th strikers cannot score...

Another profligate performance from the Gunners resulted in their first defeat at Ashburton Grove. West Ham’s fluke goal just before half-time provided all the relegation threatened east-Londoners needed to secure the three points.

American billionaire Stan Kroenke, owner of the Colorado Avalanche of the NHL and Denver Nuggets of the NBA, not to mention the Colorado Rapids of MLS (with whom Arsenal have an existing business partnership), has today purchased the 9.9% stake in Arsenal Football Club that had been offered for sale by ITV earlier this year.

Ok so the team got battered by Liverpool on the weekend. And it may well happen again before the end of the season. But this doesn’t worry me too much. Why? Because I imagine the players are feeling a bit like me, but probably magnified by about 10.

I love the Arsenal. I go to all home games (yes it is my first season) and I devour anything Arsenal related on blogs, newsnow and other sources. But now I struggle to get enthused. There is nothing to play for. I feel deflated and a little depressed…. Imagine how the players are feeling. There is no way they can have the same...
