“…so glad you could attend, come inside, come inside.”
So, one horrendous database hack, several hours of stress, and an on-going negotiation of a domain name transfer later, and we’re back!
Thanks to my good friend Dave who still had his backup of the site from when he helped do the upgrade back in April (THANK GOD). Add in the fact that I pretty much double post all of my ArsenalAmerica entries on my personal blog, (adventuresofmike.net) and some hard work by Steve Rossen grabbing a bunch of cached articles from Google, and we’re almost back to full capacity.
We really were victims of a horrible attack. The vulnerability seems to have been with the database itself, thus the decision to move to a new server entirely. We’ve addressed this by moving to a professional hosting service rather than using some available space that Andrew had. We hope that by making this change, while we’re certain to continue to be the targets of idiot script-kiddies, we’ll at least have a more robust security system working on our behalf.
Please feel free to submit news, articles, opinions and comments as per normal.
Thanks for your patience, and come on you Gunners!

Yo, Mike and company!
Good work getting back on track. Glad to see that the bastards couldn’t keep ya down.
Now, onward to victory.
(though a transfer or two beforehand would be welcome)

Fantastic to have Arsenal America back.
How do you POST / SUBMIT a story?
I have (2) drafts, but I can see anything that says SUBMIT STORY?
Please advise!

HI Chris
Look to the upper right at the top where you logged in. Should have your user name and a link to submit story.

Stags, the posts have to be approved by an admin. I’ve been thinking of asking a few regulars if they’d like to help out with the content management. Let me know if you’re interested, and then you’ll be able to manage posts as well as submit.

Mike, I appreciate the offer.
At times, I do have the time to submit articles and I am thinking lucidly!
But the multiple jobs I’m juggling at the moment are a big cramp on my time. In the Fall, when my wife graduates University, I will seek you out on helping out on the content management aspect.

Great to have Arsenal America back. It has been a little boring without you guys :)))

Yes! The daily ritual of checking to see if you are back is over. Finally got me commenting on the BigSoccer boards and now here. Now if only we get a few signings! Really 1-2 great players with a little more seasoning than the promising youngsters. Let us know what’s needed now and perhaps you’ll hear more from the quiet types like me.

It might take a while to get the momentum going again and for people to realise it’s back. I started getting “withdrawal” symptoms because I was itching to go on the site but I was just starting to forget Arsenal America when I checked today by chance. I’m just loosening myself up again and getting back in the zone. It takes time to cultivate my negative posts and constant repetition of why Arsenal need signings. ;^)

Great to see it back. Though not an American resident, I comment here more often than any other Arsenal site.

So glad you’re back……….missed you.

Ditto. I’m mostly a lurker, but I still missed ArseAm.
