Any fans around the St. Louis area. Just checking to maybe get together on occasion once the season starts to catch a few matches. Let me know. Thanks.

I was hoping someone could help me. I know this question may have been asked, but I am new to Arsenal America. I am an Arsenal fan for a few years now, and last year I tried to get a EPL package, only to find that cable/satellite providers are absolute morons. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone had information on purchasing a plan or service that could provide if not all, the majority of the Arsenal games? Any information would be fantastic. Thank you for any help.

Muamba, Aliadiere, Henry, Ljunberg and Reyes have left. Gilbert and O’Connoly have gone on loan. Flamini has decided to stay. Not sure what happens to Song. Haven’t seen him in pre-season friendlies. Pretty sure no one else is leaving. Eduardo, Sagna, Fabianski and Norveidt are in. That leaves the team as

GK - Lehmann, Almunia, Fabianski
CB - Toure, Gallas, Senderos, Djourou
FB - Clichy, Sagna, Hoyte, Traore
CM - Gilberto, Fabregas, Diaby, Denilson, Flamini
WM - Hleb, Eboue, Rosicky, Walcott
FW - van Persie, Adebayor, Eduardo, Bendtner

Supporters of the greatest football club on the planet, I have a poll for you. I’m curious to know how you rank the order of importance for Arsenal’s winnings. Please rank the most important to least important between Arsenal winning:
1) EPL Title
2) FA Cup
3) Champions League

A few thoughts after the match:

(1) Like AW’s tactical change the 2nd half, playing two wing backs in midfield, and brought in another two young full backs. I like the idea: It offered us width, while at the same time the two wing back cum midfield (Eboue and Clichy) would help to cover our defence better than Hleb and Rosicky. Also, it will open a door for the exciting young left back Traore to have more first team chances.

Not suggesting we should start the season this way, just it will offer us an interesting OPTION.

(2) Hleb is definitely better suited in a 4-5-1...

According to a recent Economist article, European politicians are considering ways to level the playing field for football teams. Egalitarian proponents claim that fans will not continue to support their clubs and leagues if only a select few continue to dominate their league. However, the NBA gained world notoriety when Michael Jordan was at the helm leading the Bulls to six titles and professional golf has gained larger galleries as a direct result of Tiger Woods winnings....

I’ve always liked predictions. They enable everyone to bust out the old crystal ball…or magic eight ball if that is what you fancy, and let the group know what you think will happen in the upcoming season. Really it gives everyones a chance to make a statement…that we can inevitably go back and look at when the season is over and say “emonahan, you are absolute garbage, last year you thought Cint Dempsey would win the Golden Boot. Get off this site and never come back, your membership is revoked…you are dead to us!”

Predictions let you lay it on...

Arsenal today announced that they have sold Freddie Ljungberg to West Ham for an undisclosed fee (although the BBC and SKY say it’s about 3.3 million pounds). Freddie’s departure truly marks the end of an era. At nine years, he was the longest-serving Arsenal player, and the last of the great “Double” side of 2001-2002. Freddie’s form has definitely dropped off in recent years, but that’s mostly due to injury. If he stays healthy, West Ham have just...

The ATVO online interview with Toure is a beautiful thing, highly recommended if you’re a member and have access. I love his quiet confidence in Arsenal. When asked about the departure of Henry, he pauses for a second, remembers his friend Titi, but then speaks about his joy in the kind of football the team plays, that transcends who’s on the field. Even during the cup loss to Chelsea in February, when so many regulars were out, he saw the strength in the team due to the system, the flowing football at the heart of Wenger’s Arsenal. Remarkably mature at 26, he’s a great man, leader...
