Penalty Kicks for Arsenal Wenger sends Djourou out on loan
Aug 10

Anyone have a place to gather for the first game in the Philly suburbs? Specifically the Montgomery County, Ambler, Upper Dublin , Horsham area?

Anyone heading to NY next week for the Red Bull / Galaxy game? It’d be nice to tailgate with other arsenal fans.

We’ll be in Center City @ Fado on Sunday morning if you feel like making the trip down.

Yes, I’ll be having a tailgate for RBNY-LA. PM me at DoctorK on bigsoccer.

Sorry, never used Big Soccer, don’t know what a PM is (Personal Msg?) or how to initiate

I tried posting to find out about DC area viewing locations for this weekends match but it says its still a draft…so anyone know of any down here. I would love to watch a match with some fellow gooners!

Hemloche - in DC proper, try Lucky Bar. That seems to be the most popular spot.

thanks Mike…I will check it out…I will call them this evening to see if they are airing it and at what time

These posts pop up periodically especially around the big matches. I have 2 thoughts…

    1) Follow Dave Connick’s lead and list 1 or 2 default viewing locations under the Branch Office section. List Fado’s for Philly for instance. It seems to have nudged ahead of Dark Horse. Alternatively, we might want to add a “viewing location” menu item with the location information. This way we’ll only have postings for special events (like the CC match party in DE)

    2) Add “Branch Office” field select list in the Profile. Then members (or Branch Office contacts) could contact each other based on geographical proximity.

I have to admit it is nice asking for these items rather than having to fulfill them (like in my job..). :)

I also had tried e-mailing my “branch office” representative before I posted the question originally and it got bounced….

  9. mikek Says:

Yeah, I’ve gotten feedback that there’s something wrong with the emails for the branches. At first we thought it was only one or two, and that we’d fixed those, but apparently it’s a bigger issue that I need to look into.

As for Branch Office viewing locations - that’s exactly what I’d like to move towards. In fact, I want separate pages for each that can be maintained by the branch officers themselves.

Adding a Branch Office dropdown to the profile section - that’s an excellent suggestion. I’ll try to get that done for us.
