As an Arsenal fan, I think we should consider purchasing Papa Bouba Diop. Papa Bouba Diop wants Champions League football and I believe he is right for the Arsenal system. He is basically saying, come and get me and he wants to be in London. He is a good fit for Arsenal. We need to think about the future. Real Madrid have been making overtures at Cesc and I believe they (Real Madrid) will be successful in acquiring Fabregas in about three years. Cesc will eventually return home to Spain, it is a question of when he wants to leave( does Cesc wait until age 22 or age 25). We cannot bury our...

Okay we went to Blackburn and drew a game. An away game in the north west..a place we would hate going in December/January and we came away with a draw. We would have defnitely won had it not been for the Jens goofup. Now Chelsea and Liverpool both dropped points and ManU lost a derby. So we are still in competing for the title ; as of now. So where is there a problem?
If you look at Arsenal all over the Internet people are moaning left, right and center as if we never had a right to draw a single game and were supposed to steam roll everyone we play. That is not how it works. Blackburn...

Jens Lehmann’s second gaffe in as many league games cost Arsenal two points today as Blackburn lucked into a 1-1 draw with the Gunners at Ewood Park this afternoon.
Arsenal had taken the lead through Robin van Persie’s 18th minute goal, and looked good for the win despite increased pressure by Blackburn during the second half. However, David Dunne’s 71st minute strike from 25 yards out somehow managed to be palmed by the crazy German into his own net.
Truth be told, Arsenal did have a chance to re-take control of the game when Ryan Nelson was sent off for a second...

It’s time for some people’s version of the first benchmark of the season.
Some of you who have posted recently see it this way – how a scrappy win against a bunch of thugs in a thug-den wasn’t enough of a test to see what this gelling organism of a developing giant-once-again is really made of.
Fair enough.
However, have you heard the media? Of course you have, and you don’t pay the lot of ‘em any mind – for good reason. We’re gonna finish out of the top 4, maybe even out of Europe. For christy’s sake, they are STILL characterizing this team as one lamenting...

I stumbled across an article about top players departing teams… and thought for a little fun and debate we’d see if this applies to the Gunners… or any other Premiership team? Below is the article.. if you’ve got the time, give it a read..
Now I know what most of you will say. “It doesn’t apply to Thierry Henry. He was present during the unbeaten season, Premiership titles, and FA Cups.”
Granted, but what about that elusive...

I forgot who was the one who pointed out the INTANGIBLE side of the game. But I do remember reading it. Football sometimes is more than just about talent.
Remember last season one of the biggest criticism aiming towards our team was we often bottled it when the opponents played a hard, physical game?
Against Sparta Prague, that’s exactly their approach in order to stop us from playing. Clearly they had done their homework.
An interesting piece of comment from Clichy I want to quote here:
“Everybody thinks that this is the way (being physical) to play...

Super Cesc and 2007-08 Arsenal America MVP (ok, maybe it’s too soon for that, but two in two games!)Hleb virtually put Arsenal through with a strong European road victory.
Well done lads.
ESPN on one of their websites is reporting that Wednesday’s match at Prague will be on multiple ESPN feeds.
The upcoming entre into this season’s Champions League is interesting, if not because we all can’t wait to see how our club will continue to develop through the early part of the season, but also for the historical perspective.
Sparta Prague is Rosicky’s former club – we’ll see how their home crowd receives him – and is also the club...

Jens Lehmann’s gaffe fifty-one seconds into the first half gifted Fulham a 1-0 lead in today’s season opener at the Grove. It seemed like last season all over again. The remainder of the match was pure Arsenal vintage 06-07 as chance after chance was created, but none were converted.
Finally, with under seven minutes to go, Kolo Toure earned a penalty after being body checked by Carlos Bocanegra in the box. Robin van Persie stepped up and converted the penalty cooly, pulling the Gunners level with only minutes to go.
Ten seconds before the end of the ninety minutes,...
