Emmanuel Adebayor’s 7th minute penalty conversion after Robin van Persie was brought down by David James got the Gunners off to a flying start this afternoon at the Grove. No matter, as Tomas Rosicky caught the Pompey defense napping and slammed one home across the face of goal to make it 3-0 to the Arsenal. Abou Diaby made a big impression after coming on as a second half substitute, and should have scored Arsenal’s fourth after meeting a perfectly placed cross and heading it wide.
