A cracking win in the Carling cup with our so called B team. Couldn’t have done the confidence any harm whatsoever. Back to the business side of things this week at Upton Park where we’ve surprisingly lost to a team that does “play football” too many times. Maybe its time to set the record straight then.
I watched West Ham v Newcastle, and Dean Ashton is on form. He’s a very clever positional player who scores goals when fit. Norwich City’s record signing at 3m, and I quite like him. Carlton Cole has done nothing for as far as I can remember, so I guess Bellamy will start along with Ashton and Etherington to form a 4-3-3 of sorts. Lee Bowyer is another player I dislike — much like Robbie Savage in the tackle and too much blah blah. Matty Upson will be charged up against us and if Freddie plays I hope he doesn’t score against us.
I miss Freddie… I loved him
Now that Eduardo is out with a groin strain I think it’ll be back to a Robin van Persie/Adebayor partnership. What is it with these muscle pulls?? Last time we had a groin strain the player concerned was supposed to be a week away, and now AW doesn’t want to put a time on it. So I guess Dudu is out for a month sadly. Unconfirmed, obviously, but its just a gut feeing I have about the damn groin strain.
Mozart is still down but Hleb makes it which is good. It’s also bad because Hleb rarely turns it on immediately after an injury return. It takes a game or so for him to be back. Let’s hope he does turn up tomorrow. Cesc has to start and I’m not at all sure what’s happening with Gilberto. I think Arsene’s gonna sell him — just because the players coming through have more potential. I’d love Bert to stay but I don’t know if he can accept a bit part role. His attitude has been spot on, his commitment unquestionable and his performance reasonably decent considering the circumstances. I’d hate to see him go. He’s had a fair enough rest it doesn’t look good for him to start this one alongside Cesc. I mean, how do you drop Flamini??? He’s been very good this season. Problem of Plenty — its got to be a Hleb-Cesc-Matty-Diaby/Theo?? midfield (mostly Diaby). The back four pick themselves with a Clichy-Sendy-Kolo-Sagna and Almunia in goal again.
So effectively this is what it will be….
Almunia
Sagna Kolo Sendy Clichy
Hleb Cesc Flamini Diaby
RVP Ade
We’ll have a bit too much in the tank for West Ham. Predict a high scoring win for AFC with Freddie and Ashton scoring for them.

Think it’ll be tough. I agree that our skill level is higher. I think it’ll be 2 - 0 to the Arsenal! Cesc and RvP putting in the goals!
September 28th, 2007 at 2:57 pm
1-1 I think, I was passing by Upton Park last week, it was rocking. They are going to tough opponents.
September 28th, 2007 at 4:39 pm
Very difficult to say, I’d be well impressed if we won.
September 28th, 2007 at 5:20 pm
yeah i agree, i think this will probably be a draw.
this is the kind of game that if we win, we make a solid statement cos i think going there is as tough as going up north to blackburn or everton.
plus if win, there is a very high possibility of getting all the 9 points available before the liverpool game. and that would put us in an awesome position.
i really hope for a win (by superiority or by luck)….but a draw would be OK.
September 28th, 2007 at 5:31 pm
I know I say this every week, but tomorrow we will learn alot about the real credentials of this team. At the moment I make West Ham slight favourites. I just keep thinking about Senderos and Almunia and feel their joint fuck-up-ability will come together and give Bellamy or Ashton a tap-in.
Also, its nearly October and luck is due to go against us.
September 28th, 2007 at 5:40 pm
hate to come back to this….but these are from wenger himself.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/sport/football.html?in_article_id=484415&in_page_id=1779&ct=5
he has the same basic problems with this that i do.
just a final thought:
if some random guy owns man u, another guy owns spurs, another arsenal….and each owner treats his club like a cashcow/ego-booster/plaything,
would there be any meaning in actually supporting a club? especially when the ownership can do absolutely anything and can even sell the clubs amongst themselves whenever they wish.
if some guy owned spurs and another arsenal then the derby and all derbies in general would be really meaningless.
anyways, lets not get into this again. lets just cross fingers and hope for the best.
September 28th, 2007 at 5:44 pm
“Also, its nearly October and luck is due to go against us.”
_________
This is silly.
September 28th, 2007 at 5:59 pm
it seems the starting team would be:
almunia
sagna toure senderos clichy
eboue fabregas flamini diaby
RVP adebayor
bench of: fabianski, gilberto, diarra, hleb, bendtner
if things are looking bad, then hleb for eboue, bendtner for diaby (with RvP moving to left wing), and maybe gilberto for flamini to win possible headers.
September 28th, 2007 at 6:27 pm
I think one of the things that gave us trouble recently with West Ham was that Nigel Reo-Coker harassed Fabregas all over the pitch. For what ever reason, he causes match up problems for Fab. So perhaps we will have to worry about that against Villa but not tomorrow. I expect Fabregas to pull the strings all day.
This is a big game for Big Phil. If he can’t handle Dean Ashton, then he can’t handle anyone. I worry for all the English folks here that he is even considered a candidate to start for the national team. He is terrible. Bellamy has some pace, which worries me. But if Phil gets lost against these two, he is officially worthless.
September 28th, 2007 at 6:36 pm
Explain why it’s silly Jacky boy.
Luck plays a big part in football games. Even Wenger said in his pre-match interview that “everything has gone for us”.
September 28th, 2007 at 6:44 pm
p: it is October.
c: therefore, luck is due to go against us.
There is no connection between the premise and the conclusion. You might as well say “Spurs are crap; therefore, luck is due to go against Millwall.” Variations on the absurd ‘argument’ are infinite. This should be obvious.
September 28th, 2007 at 7:00 pm
But you must admit that football does have an odd way of evening out luck.
September 28th, 2007 at 7:03 pm
Okay Jack, er..whatever you say.
I meant it’s nearly October, so taking into consideration the season started early August and we’ve played about nine games and have had the rub of the green so far, it is reasonable assumption to make that things may not go our way on Saturday.
September 28th, 2007 at 7:12 pm
“it is reasonable assumption to make that things may not go our way on Saturday.”
_________
This is possibly true if a team is playing against itself. Otherwise, you have to explain why your opponent (who started the season at the same time, etc) isn’t vulnerable to the hard luck you expect for your team. If two teams are equally vulnerable to bad luck, the expectation and the assumptions behind it become meaningless. I really think this should be obvious to any adult.
September 28th, 2007 at 7:15 pm
Brendan K: “But you must admit that football does have an odd way of evening out luck.”
_____
Must admit? Without statistical evidence? In general, you may be right, but we don’t know yet.

So I became an asshole.”

I believe what Mazza is saying is that so far, everything has gone for the Arsenal (except for Lehmann’s goofs) and that can’t last forever. It may not happen in October, or even November, but it is bound to happen sooner or later to most every team. He jus thinks it will happen sooner then later.
My feeling is that this just feels like a game where the team will stumble a bit ane either lose or tie. What will be important is how they rebound if they lose.
September 28th, 2007 at 7:51 pm
Well, if Arsenal have bad luck on Saturday then obviously West Ham will be the recipients of good luck. In a team sport what effects one team will effect the other. One team tends to have more luck than other team in a game. It’s not something you can quantify or back up with statistical evidence.
I mean, what sort of science would one have to use to explain Fat Frank Lampard’s deflected goals? ;^)
September 28th, 2007 at 7:52 pm
Win? Draw? Lose?
I think as a fan you must always hope for a win. Even as a strong underdog, belief must exist that the impossible will happen. Not that Arsenal are a strong underdog, yet most fans are still waiting for this team to mess things up.
I for one would like to look at the fact that we have performed admirably this season. I hope and expect the same tomorrow - and I hope and expect a win. What I do take into consideration is that this will be a test for this team.
We lost to them twice last year. Both games were heart breakers. Our manager even went ape sh*t in one of them feeling the pain of that winning (loosing in our case) goal.
This young squad will be under pressure to perform in this game. How will they meet that challenge is the question. I think what they have shown this season will see them win the game - even if its a scrappy one. It is also very important to carry this win and good performance into the Liverpool match.
Long live Arsene! Viva Arsenal!
Arsenal (2) - West Ham United (1)
September 28th, 2007 at 8:39 pm
Tough match, derby match. I thought the Spurs match had draw written all over it, but this REALLY has draw written all over it. RvP has to produce, they will key on Cesc and Ade. I said on an earlier post: The best defence is a balls-out offense. We should be rested enough, yeah we’re injured, but we should be a little fresher. We should get possession and go wide, route 1, over the top, most importantly forward. Last year our fault was too much fancy B.S. last touch stuff. We have it in our grasp, and there are still people out there saying Let’s wait and see till West Ham, or Liverpool, or Chelsea. Well, here we go……..
Still it’s a draw 2-2
September 28th, 2007 at 10:58 pm
I will be interested in mostly RVP and Sendy, if he starts and not Gilberto. As several people have previously mentioned, RVP has not really hit his stride. He does not appear to be linking up well with the rest of the team. In the little bit I have seen of him playing for Holland, he does not appear to link up with those players either. But, he has a great shot and could still score a lot of goals for us this year.
Asenal 2- WHam 1
September 28th, 2007 at 11:27 pm
And it would be terrible to lose now and put an end to the Arsenal love fest which seems to have engulfed all of Britain.
September 29th, 2007 at 2:39 am
Mazza, when u keep predicting a set back for Arsenal, sooner or later you will be proved right. No one can win forever anyway.
The reason we are where we are right now had little to do with luck. At least I can recall any game we won this season via sheer luck. The lads worked very hard for every victory IMO.
Back to the game, I will single out Bellamy as the man to watch, he has the ability to cause us some problems with his pace.
September 29th, 2007 at 2:56 am
I can only imainge, if I were Flamini, Clichy, Adebayor the likes, following the reserve side’s win over Newcastle last game, and the performance Bendtner, Traore, Diarra had put it, I would be putting in extra effort from now on just to make sure my first team place is safe.
this side, unlike Mourinho’s Chelsea, we got no “untouchable”, apart from perhaps Cesc. And the “gap” between the first XI and the second tiers isn’t that big. AW has showed in recent years he’s not afraid of dropping anyone, that included Thierry Henry last season. So I’d be suprised if any starter dares to take their eyes off the ball.
if they put in 100%, don’t think we should afraid of anybody.
September 29th, 2007 at 3:07 am
Maybe we’re all guilty of overrating Westham a bit just like Bolton till we beat them at the Reebok. They are a decent midtable side - nothing more nothing less. As for Mazza lets just hope ur predictions keep going wrong for the sake of the Arsenal.
September 29th, 2007 at 3:20 am
Some of you speak as if arsenal’s current form was down to “luck”. I think it’s down to the team finally having chemistry and having fun when playing. Noticed that during the carling cup the 2nd string played pretty much like the 1st, and this tells me the lads are playing a TEAM SYSTEM. I’m not downplaying the importance of Cesc and Ade as the spine, but something tells me that there is more than just Plan A this year and we’ll be able to cope with different types of opponents.
I’m going to be brave on this one and predict a 3-1 win and 9 full points before we goto anfield.
September 29th, 2007 at 3:27 am
Exactly neova, it’s a TEAM sports anyway. we can’t just blame individual players when losing, likewise, in order for a team to win, the TEAM has to be play well.
If all our attacking players are crap, then Fabregas would have had the space to take a shot, let alone scoring, as all the defenders would be closing him down.
likewise, if Almunia, Sendy the likes are as poor as some suggested, then the whole team may have to come back and pack inside our own penalty box in order to bail them out.
BTW, neova, do u have a nickname as neova2 on BBC board?
September 29th, 2007 at 5:08 am
Hmmm….
10 games
9 wins & a draw (with the draw due to a howler but not by Almunia by Lehmann)
25 goals for & 4 conceded
And some folks are still quick to forecast our demise and have a go at Senderos (and now Almunia)….lol
And for pete’s sake…..West Ham??? common, West Ham!!! Like, sure on their day they could beat us but hardly a side to make us shiver in our boots.
RvP will be itching to make his mark after Fab and Ade have hogged the limelight recently. And hopefuly Bendtner gets to come on and scores a late goal.
September 29th, 2007 at 5:43 am
If Eboue gets some run-time, Ade & Bendtner might get some juicy crosses…..ain’t it nice to have a bit of variety in atack these days.
If Freddie plays it will be interesting to see how he fares….. great contributor to the AFC cause for so many years and then prety much appalling for the final 2.
September 29th, 2007 at 7:49 am
I don’t believe how little faith Arsenal’s fans can have in the team. If the fans are this frightened of Westham then what about the players. How can we be spooked over Westham ? I personally don’t believe in this history stuff. Last season was last season and that’s all.
My only worry is whether the players feel the same way as the fans do. If they go into the game with as much doubt and fear as i’ve seen here, then Westham might just do the unthinkable and wash us away.
0-2 win for Arsenal.
September 29th, 2007 at 8:43 am
Carling Cup draw - Arsenal away Sheff Utd. Not a bad draw.
September 29th, 2007 at 9:04 am
Sheff Utd…. That’s a walk over
September 29th, 2007 at 9:35 am
even the reserve side should be able to hammer sheff Utd a stroll in the park
September 29th, 2007 at 10:20 am
GOOOOL!
Hleb with a cross? My god… this is a new Arsenal team. I dont think I ever remember Hleb providing a quick cross. He usually holds the ball and tries to play someone in. We definitely have new options this year!!!!
Go Gunners!
September 29th, 2007 at 10:34 am
Bad tackle on Hleb.
That looks like an MCL to me. I had one and kept me out 6 months.
September 29th, 2007 at 10:39 am
coach_ed on what channel r u watching this?
September 29th, 2007 at 10:39 am
Noble’s an ass if Hleb goes for that long.
September 29th, 2007 at 10:41 am
Try starsports on Sopcast. Watching it right now.
September 29th, 2007 at 10:51 am
i can’t seem to get it…..:-(
September 29th, 2007 at 10:53 am
Did u try through the myp2p site or straight from sopcast?
September 29th, 2007 at 10:53 am
straight from sopcast
September 29th, 2007 at 10:54 am
thats y. Here is the link.
http://www.myp2p.eu/Saturday.htm
September 29th, 2007 at 10:56 am
it’s a fu*king disgrace that Noble’s challenge. it looks like a serious injury for Hleb.
btw, after watching the game at Emirates for a year, when we come to a smaller pitch, it really looks bloody small!
September 29th, 2007 at 10:58 am
Van Persie’s goal has been linked here
http://arsenalclips.blogspot.com/
Cheers,
Wayne
September 29th, 2007 at 10:58 am
i’m watching star sports on TVU player. sopcast wasnt working for me this morning.
but I am really bummed of the prospect of having Hleb and Rosicky out for a period of time because we dont have anyone with that kind of creativity from the flanks. a real downer for me.
hopefully hleb isnt injured that bad but the way his knee caved in… and it was a terrible challenge… not a doctor so i shouldnt speculate but i am definitely feeling down. no joy in being 1-0 at this point.
September 29th, 2007 at 11:02 am
I fuckin hate West Ham. Those tossers are almost as bad as Bolton. Two absolutely terrible challenges, and the second one on Hleb by that little thug Noble was atrocious. If it was Man United or Chelsea Noble would have given them a free pass but no it’s Arsenal, your allowed to try end the careers of their players. I thought it was Hleb’s knee originally but appears his ankle is screwed.
As for the game, both teams have been very poor. Arsenal have shaded it but are showing a heavy touch and little urgency around West Ham’s box.
If West Ham up their tempo we are well there for the taking as we have a spineless midfield but then if Arsenal show more oomph we could do the same.
I definately see us conceding.
September 29th, 2007 at 11:03 am
the way his knee bented, it did look a terrible one. perhaps Sir Alex, Rafa the likes do have a point, EPL ref have no protection to the flair, and creative players. i saw the Liverpool Reading match, Fernando Torres basically got kicked all over the pitch.
September 29th, 2007 at 11:07 am
Hleb always takes that risk with the way he plays. He releases the ball at the last minute.
September 29th, 2007 at 11:15 am
Apparently Hleb’s injury is just bruising.
September 29th, 2007 at 11:15 am
its funny…
when i see torres kicked, i think… yeah kick his little ass back to spain but when hleb gets kicked i am fuming mad! i guess i’m a bit partisan.
agree, though, that refs should give a little more protection to flair players because the game is really boring without them. noble should have gotten red but now that he’s been booked you cant do anythign about it.
September 29th, 2007 at 11:15 am
thanks for help guys but no pic…..it says it has connected etc but no pic
September 29th, 2007 at 11:29 am
Just like I feared. We’re playing at the same crappy tempo while West Ham have raised theirs.
September 29th, 2007 at 11:37 am
Adebayor has had two great chances.
September 29th, 2007 at 11:42 am
Take Adebayor off.
September 29th, 2007 at 11:47 am
arsene heard u mazza
September 29th, 2007 at 12:03 pm
Look like we had pass another “real test”!
Ade looked like have a muscle pull as well.
September 29th, 2007 at 12:05 pm
Mazza, looks like u are becoming a lucky spell for the Gunners! everytime u predicted we lost, we won. u predicted we would concede, then even opposition scored, it was wrongly ruled off side (Freddie’s goal)!
September 29th, 2007 at 12:07 pm
1-0 to the arse! Didn’t watch the game but heard it over the radio and Noble and the likes of him in the Prem needs to be suspended for that challenge. The club should definately complain…
I’m glad we can hold on to win 1-0. And looking at the stats it seems like instead of wasting time we were still attacking till the death with shots on goals… Definately this will give players even more confidence being able to win narrowly on the road.
“BTW, neova, do u have a nickname as neova2 on BBC board?” - yes, mazza, Neova2 is me on BBC 606…
September 29th, 2007 at 12:07 pm
Holy cow! just checked the scorebox, Portsmouth beat Reading 7-4!! was it the biggest scoreline in Premiership history?
September 29th, 2007 at 12:08 pm
neova, actually it’s me who asked u that nickname! as i saw neova2 on Arsenalboard BBC yesterday.
September 29th, 2007 at 12:13 pm
wow… NFL score at fratton park. 1 TD for pompey and 2 safety’s for reading.
September 29th, 2007 at 12:13 pm
Jeez, what a stomach churner. Great result and a so-so performance that improved as the second half wore on.
Clichy was a bit dodgy in defence and Senderos was his usual mixed bag. Toure and Sagna excellent.
Fabregas was the probably our poorest player. Sluggish performance. Flamini was more effective though he fell over one too many times.
Diaby grew as the game went on.
RVP and Adebayor were a mixed bag as well. Adebayor was a massive threat but one of those days where his lack of shooting technique was exposed. Everyone knows now that he’s gonna try and side-foot everything.
RVP had a great shot off the post but was abit sloppy as well. Good header for goal.
We deserved to win although Ashton had a few shots and missed one great chance.
Can’t complain though, can’t complain.
September 29th, 2007 at 12:16 pm
I predict Sunderland will win 4-0 next week.
September 29th, 2007 at 12:17 pm
;^)
September 29th, 2007 at 12:21 pm
Didn’t see the game. But saw the highlights. Saw 5 chances for Arsenal with one goal and one shot hitting the post. Saw only one chance for West Ham. So we weren’t the better team? Somebody who saw the game please elaborate.
September 29th, 2007 at 12:24 pm
A great result for me. We weathered a physical side at their ground (although West Ham wanted to play a lot more than Blackburn) and kept grinding to keep a clean sheet.
What a difference a year makes - we are playing much more relaxed with more confidence in this type of game, and seem to be taking shots that we wouldn’t have last season (I have no data to back that up - just seems like it).
I’ll be waiting for the injury report in advance of the trip to Romania.
September 29th, 2007 at 12:29 pm
@nipuna: Theres a re-run on Star Sports 12:00 tonight
.. u got a Gmail ID or sumthing…can catch up sometime.
September 29th, 2007 at 12:33 pm
Way to go Mazza
.. keep em coming. The 2-3 prediction seemed a bit too bold on hindsight. My turn to eat humble pie
September 29th, 2007 at 12:33 pm
great result. clean sheet. we remain top of the table for at least another 2 weeks.
definitely cant complain.
our blackburn game would have ended just like this if lehmann hadnt fumbled.
anyways, our next games are at home to sunderland and bolton. if we win both games we will be on 25 out of 27…..and that is awesome form.
is anyone else less interested in the CL games now that we are doing well in the PL or am i alone in that?
September 29th, 2007 at 12:38 pm
Nope CL still is very important, though I’d take a EPL title over it anyday. I hope Hleb can shake off the bruising for the CL game and that Mozart tries and stays fit for a month atleast.
September 29th, 2007 at 12:39 pm
i share the same feeling as u Fred. It feel far more intense and interesting following our team in the EPL race. i mean, every week not only hoping Arsenal win, but also have to check the score of Chelsea, Liverpool, Man U….
Personally it’ll give me a bigger sense of satisification if we can win the Premiership. just to shut the Chelsea, Liverpool, Man U, Spurs fans up!!
September 29th, 2007 at 12:43 pm
hahaha….seems to be raining sht down there in chelsea … they failed to score again and drew at home!
plus essien injured in the warm up, drogba redcarded and terry had a broken cheekbone! who is writing this script???
so they will play the next few games at least without essien, drogba, terry or lampard. and without those four they are practically a midtable side.
well, i hope this continues….they are 7 points behind us and we have a game at hand….its looking good.
September 29th, 2007 at 12:49 pm
A solid performance….we were definitely on the back heel for 15 min or so in the 2nd half, but generally coped well.
I love the fact that we are scoring different types of goals this season: headers, long range shots, etc. It keeps the opponents guessing. Flamini had a great game, as did Sagna, Diaby and Clichy. RvP was in and out of the game. Ade worked hard as always and had chances to seal it….
These are the games we would have drawn or lost last season, and we’re winning them now…so big up to the lads and let’s keep it up.
Danny: Is you well impressed?
I would love for Djourou to score today…..
September 29th, 2007 at 1:05 pm
Good result.
Unfortunately couldn’t get to watch it live. Star Sports was not showing it..but had a backup option in SS3. However, those guys changed the schedule to fit in the Chelsea game at the very last minute. Boy i was hopping mad!!
Then tracked practically the whole game on text commentary
..and even though i was not watching it live it was still a exciting affair
Not much to comment on..but nice to see V.Persie scoring with a header…the Hleb injury looks bad..hope he recovers quickly…we definetly need him in the team.
Nice to see the team leading the table….feels really really good
..another week of bugging the Man Utd fans here
BTW…read something about Wenger being very upset with Van Persie and therefore subbing on Bendtner…what’s the story behind that?
Cheers,
Wayne
September 29th, 2007 at 1:05 pm
Mazza, why don’t you just say we are going to be 20th and we will probably end up as a champions. lol
September 29th, 2007 at 1:15 pm
@Wayne: RvP received a pass late in the game and had a 3 on 2 up to the edge of the box - instead of passing it, he lazily kept the ball and lost it to the defender. Hard to tell what really happened (perhaps he was really tired), but Wenger was fuming and pulled him from the game almost immediately.
September 29th, 2007 at 1:18 pm
1. The team played well. It was a tough test and we were strong enough to deal with a very physical team.
2. WHU closed down very well and kept pumping long balls into the box.
3. Thank to their keeper score remained 1-0. 3-4 Excellent saves.
4. Freddy shined - Hleb is slower :O) - got beat to a couple of balls by him. His goal was offside. At the time the ball was played, Freddie was offside, Toure put him on with a touch on the ball, but by that time flag was raised. Rub of the green I guess.
5. Diabi needs to learn to use his left foot. He kept trying for that right footed wonder goal.
6. RVP needs to bench his ego a bit and work on his team play. Played well, but relied too much on his flare. Pissed Arsene off and got pulled towards end of game for being lazy on the ball.
7. Sendy - still not convincing.
8. Defense - needs a bit more organization.
9. Cesc looked jaded.
10. When RVP replaced by Bert 4-5-1 helped seal the game.
Long live Arsene! Viva Arsenal!
September 29th, 2007 at 1:19 pm
Not really a major bustup (AW took off RvP), RvP was tired anyway. I think AW since the Henrysaga is starting to pay more attention on making sure no one is getting a big head. Probably just a msg to Van Persie that don’t mess around, no one is untouchable with this Arsenal side.
September 29th, 2007 at 1:25 pm
@tg and Andez..Thanks for the update..glad to know that it was not serious..after all that Wenger has done to promote team spirit..don’t want 1 or 2 players to start doing something stupid.
Finally..star sports showing the second half of the Man Utd match….so will get back to watching it..hoping that the former Arsenal guys and Djourou continue to hold Man Utd or take all the 3 points
Cheers,

great result. remember we lost twice to WH last year and we were lucky with the offside call on freddie (although i will always love him, i was happy he didnt score on us!). like they say, it all evens out in the year, we dropped 2 points at blackburn, we picked them up at upton park. we were not at our best but this is what you have to do to win the league, grind out results, get a goal early, not concede, to the arsenal 1 nil!
as for the EPL vs the CL, i would love to win both!! the EPL is certainly the most rewarding trophy, but if we want to be considered the best club in the world, we have to win the european club, the one trophy we have not won! but again, too early to talk about this, wouldnt want to jinx it!

What’s all this about October being a bad month? The last bad October Arsenal had was in 02-03. Since then it’s been 12 wins 7 draws and 4 defeats in that month.
