Steaua Bucharest – Arsenal

After a tough trip away at Upton Park the Gunners make their way over to Romania where Hagi has just quit his job. The club hence may well be struck by the “new manager” syndrome and play out of their skins against us. However I’d be pretty surprised if we didn’t take all 3 points against Steaua Buchraest.

I’m not sure how far Romania is in terms of travel time from London.  Can anyone offer some details? I don’t know too much about Romanian football at all so I’ll stick to Arsenal. We could potentially miss Gallas, Eduardo, Lehmann, Song, Rosicky, Ade, Flamster, Diaby and Hleb. Nine players?!?!

Ahhh, the good old familiar feeling of having players injured close to double digits!  I mean its ridiculous. How can we be injured so much? All the time? One thing I’m very glad about though is that we’re not injured defensively and King Kolo miraculously is still super fit even after playing 1 million games as an Arsenal player.

Anyway if all of the above do not start I guess the team pretty much picks itself. There’s not much tactics to discuss so I won’t fart around saying nothing and will just name the squad I think AW will put out:

Almunia
Clichy Senderos Toure Sagna
Eboue Fabregas Gilberto Walcott
RVP Bendtner

Bench: Wookash, Diarra, Hoyte, Ade, Hleb, Denilson, Flamini (It is 7 subs right??)

Well thats about it and couldn’t recognize a single player from the Bucharest squad..no disrespect meant so I guess it will be an unknown quantity. Having said that I think we’ll win in a typical European style pass and move game ….
