Manager of the month.
Things are looking pretty good for Le Professeur, who turns 58 today.

Anyone seen this: http://www.o2blueroom.co.uk/Football/ArsenalOpus/ Looks really cool and every copy is signed by Arsene himself.
October 22nd, 2007 at 12:30 pm
@Seattle - yeah, and each copy costs $3000!
October 22nd, 2007 at 12:53 pm

Happy Birthday to The Professor
Truly the best manager around…and one person for whom I have the utmost respect
Let the good times roll..
Cheers,

Yeah, I figured it would cost a fortune, but how cool would it be to have it?

If football fan also has a career path, I believe as Arsenal fan of our generation, we have reached the peak under Arsene Wenger. Just like our grandfathers’ generation who had reached the peak under Herbert Chapman.
Will we be able to withness more trophies arrived at Emirates during the post-Wenger days? Perhaps.
One thing for sure though, the football will never be the same. Wayne said it well, “Truly the best manager around…and one person for whom I have the utmost respect”.
Make a birthday wish the Professor, and let’s hope it comes true the next May!! : )

Bottenham Hotspur in deep deep shit.
October 22nd, 2007 at 5:03 pm
i thought the spuds had bottomed out….turns out they still have some more pain to endure. its actually getting less funny and more sad. they wanted our top-4 spot soooo much. lol.
someone here even said they were a fabregas away from being as good as arsenal, i think mazza, not sure.
October 22nd, 2007 at 5:06 pm
and josh, turns out kaboul is pretty much a disaster….worse than senderos actually (though admittedly he is still new to the league).
but it is a bit evident now why wenger didnt go for him. he simply feigned interest and spurs jumped all over him LOL.
October 22nd, 2007 at 5:11 pm
the thing is - HAD there not that “We are going to squeeze Arsenal out of top 4″ talks in the summer, they would not be getting as much flak as they do at the moment.
The top 4 talks not only being disrespectful to Arsenal IMO, it also showed absoultey no respect to other teams like Blackburn, Villa, Everton, Newcastle, City. If someone ever going to break into top 4, why must it be Bottenham Hotspur?
Man City spent as much as Bottenham, yet they have been so low-keyed. As a result, their players do not play under some unnecessary pressure like the Spurs players do. And now they look more like the real contenders for a top 4 spot.
October 22nd, 2007 at 5:15 pm
Fred, Not to mention that guy Dawson. Cost them 8 millions, more than we paid for Senderos, Clichy, Toure, Eboue. An entire back 4!
October 22nd, 2007 at 5:56 pm
I remember someone saying Tevez and Rooney couldn’t play together as well.
October 22nd, 2007 at 9:37 pm
Arsenal Opus- And did you see that it is over 35 kilos!!! That is over 70 pounds!!! That is what I call a coffee table book.
October 22nd, 2007 at 11:06 pm
well, tevez and rooney still havent proven they can really spark together. Man U are by far at their deadliest when Saha is in there. even you cant deny that.
ofcourse they might prove me wrong….but i would only be guilty of misjudging two individuals, while you would have misjudged two whole teams. just admit when u are wrong. lol.
its all good though.

Now that the Russian bloke has been frozen out of buying Arsenal whats the odds he’ll sell off his shears and buy Totteringham, bring in Morino and build a 60,000 seat stadium? Dont put it past him.
October 22nd, 2007 at 11:09 pm
I ment ’shares’….he should keep his shears as spurs are a bunch of sheep shaggers!

NBG, #18 is f*cking hilarious.
Fred, I thought I told you that I got Kaboul confused with someone else. He’s not the guy I thought he was.
I did mention that old red nose knew what he wanted to do when he bought Tevez and we didn’t. I mentioned that everyone talked the same smack about how Cole and Yorke were too similar and couldn’t possible play together. Then they went on to create the most deadly strike partnership in EPL history combining for over 50 goals in one season. I can’t stand Ferguson but you’ve got to respect what he’s done.
This will be an interesting match tonight. Slavia will put guys behind the ball and try to hit us on the break. Fortunately, Arsenal’s defense is designed to defend the counter. If we don’t win it will probably be Almunia’s fault. I know that’s an unfair comment but I just feel his time is coming. Hope I’m wrong. Eduardo should get another goal tonight.

going to be a quality game. Last season man u where RVP turned the game and henry finished them in the 94 th
can we do that again?
im thinking walcott would be a sure bet agaisnt both. Man u’s half strikers leave there wings open alot. walcott simply needs the confidence to go 1 on 1 with evra. i think he can beat him or at least get us a good free kick. We need gilberto to steam Gerrard. Then probably Hleb playing off ade. Thats what i vote lol.
Which ever way it goes its gonna be a beaut to watch.
October 23rd, 2007 at 6:50 am
Ten games gone and we’re 18pts ahead of Tottenham with a game in hand. You couldn’t make it up. Thanks Mr Wenger.
October 23rd, 2007 at 7:29 am
i wonder the odds for st. totteringhams day before the end of january LOL.
October 23rd, 2007 at 7:41 am
Would like to thank Marin Jol as well, we couldn’t be 18 points ahead of Bottenham by merely 2 months into the season without him! Told u he’s the best around!
May Spurs keep Jol forever. And thank all the Gooners who signed the petition Spurs fans set up to urge the Spurs board keep Martin Jol!
October 23rd, 2007 at 9:09 am
to be fair its not really jols fault…at least not 100%. he is not the best manager but in the top 6 or 7 at least after wenger, ferguson, benitez, erricson and allardyce.
u also have to ask how much of an influence he has on transfers. i bet little. all in all the club is just filled with chokers from top to bottom. from club director to paul robinson. lol.
if they had spent 20 million on at least two hleb and rosicky types they would be very strong. they would also have needed to replace robinson and buy a proper CB.
thinking of it…why are we discussing them? who cares. LLOL
