Arsenal vs Birmingham City AA SF Branch Meet-up: Arsenal vs. Birmingham Match Viewing
Jan 11

Hello Arsechums,

Several Seattle based Arsenal America members are getting together at the George and Dragon (p) on Saturday the 12th of January at 10am. This is the very first official Arsenal America Seattle branch meet up. So, if you live in the Seattle/Tacoma area or are just in town for the weekend come on down and have some fun.

Don’t you mean 7:00AM? Or is the match being shown on tape-delay? Live match time is 10:00AM ET / 7:00 AM PST. Good luck with your first official meet!

  2. timmy_the_tooth Says:

Thanks Mark, but no, the match is actually at 10am at the George. They do tape delay on less meaningful matches like this one.

(I put this in my original post)

So, if you are going to come down to the George and you already know the score, please be respectful of others and keep it to yourself? Please?

  3. Mark Barbeau Says:

    Got it.

We made a sign for Maggie’s where we watch the matches that says:

“As many of the matches are shown on tape-delay, we cannot guarantee the safety of anyone revealing the results to those watching”

Timmy - I didn’t make any changes to your post - it must have gotten cut off.

It would be nice if the G&D was open at 7:00 AM but try to get some one to open at that time in the morning is brutal on the help, not every one is a Gunner even thou they should be. If enough Gunners show up at seven in the morning they will open. Remember here in Seattle, I asked a so called “German Bar”, who will remain nameless on Roosevelt, about watching the Bundesliga to the bartender. To which he replied, “We just have the Fox Soccer Channel”, and just turned around and left. The George and Dragon will show the match and you don’t have to ask. I will be there at 10:00 AM at the G&D, Go Gunners!

Did the G&D change their hours or something? They used to show games early in the morning. I know I’ve been there at 7:00 am before.

  7. timmy_the_tooth Says:

    Hey gang,

Sorry Mike, I must have left it off or not copy and pasted correctly.

I have been to the G&D for early matches too (Liverpool in the FA cup last year) but for whatever reason they are not playing this match until 10am. At least that’s what the guy over the phone said to me.

If anyone has different data please PM me ASAP. Cheers.

    Hey guys.

I am moving to Seattle from the twin cities sometime by the end of Feb.

I will be staying near Green Lake for a month or so till I find a place of my own. (my uncle lives out there.)

Any pubs in that area that show matches?

I would like to meet up with some Gooners when I get out there.

I am glad that I have come across this site. I am from Seattle and a regular at the George during the weekends to check out the gooners and drink some pints.

Me and my boys represent the gooners at the george with the other lads.

I am there with the lads for the Newcastle game this Saturday. Anybody heading out to George?
