A good win against Fulham who rarely threatened to be frank but 3 points none the same which is great. Back to the CC we’re ridiculously short at the back without 4 centre backs. I have mixed feelings about Gallas stepping in. It does solidify the back four but if he gets injured now; we’re in a big big soup. Unfortunately this happened to Sendy when he was really playing well. This is what happens all the time when he’s got a chance and then when he has an iffy game on coming back; people have a field day cursing him. Anyway Myles Palmer predicted a Spurs – Chelsea final; hence I feel confident it’ll be a Arsenal – Everton final
. Spurs rested a few players on the weekend didn’t they? Will the rest backfire and will they feel they have this one wrapped up against a makeshift Arsenal back four? I hope so.
There really is nothing in this and its not that we cannot score away from home; specially at WHL. Remember that away goals count after 120″ here; so if its 1-1 after 90″ we still have a chance. I sincerely hope he plays Diaby and Denilson central midfield but I’m sure he won’t and will play Gilberto central and Diaby left wing YET again. Which is sad actually..because although I understand he’s trying to develop Abou’s left side he is not great wide left. Someone said that Lansbury might get a game; haven’t seen much of him. Did like the look of Merida and Barazite when they came on against Blackburn..Merida especially …great calmness on the ball…
Anyway I’m too tired to write more its 12:30 midnight here…so I’ll stick to the squad AW will probably put out:
Fabianski
Traore Gallas Hoyte Sagna
Diaby Denilson Gilberto Lansbury/Randall
Bendtner Theo
Subs: Mannone,Norveidt,Rosicky,Hoyte,Lansbury/Randall
Spurs at home in a semi final will be tough but I have a feeling they’ll bottle it as usual and we’ll nick it 3-2 on aggregate.
Spurs 1 – Arsenal 2
