A relatively easy win at the Cottage today as two first-half headed goals by Emmanuel Adebayor and a 80th minute volley by Tomas Rosicky paced the Gunners to a 3-0 win away at Fulham earlier today.
(Have to run out to help a friend move, so I’m afraid that’s all I have to time to post right now. If Dan or whomever wants to add more, please by all means, have at it!)

Boring Boring History:
Fulham vs Arsenal is marked off as just another ‘London Derby’ but the birth of modern day Arsenal lies buried within Fulham’s past. In 1910, Henry Norris who was one of the Fulham club directors, joined the board of then Woolwich Arsenal. Norris, also the Major of Fulham from 1909-1919, wanted to merge both Fulham and Arsenal into a “Super Club” but the Football League rejected the idea. After that rejection, Norris put his energy in trying to make Woolwich Arsenal a bigger force in the English game. But the poor condition of...

We are past the half way mark (played 22/38 games) and the team has exceeded all expectations thus far. The league is within our potential but, as we have seen, potential is nothing without substance. Therefore the question to be asked is do we have the substance to maintain our form into the second half of the season? There is no doubt we have seen an improvement this year and can only presume that this year’s challenge will only be improved upon in years to come. This will require keeping our current crop of indispensables, shedding the dead-wood, nurturing the ‘potential’...

I couldn’t catch the whole game and I knew the score before they showed the replay so I decided to go and sleep instead of watching through the pain. And anyway I knew people here would have ranted and ranted and…you get the point. The previous thread was more about people getting their personal ego’s satisfied for a large part and less about the game to be fair. Yeah Yeah…Its a forum..I know.
The first half wasn’t really bad as far as I saw it. Almunia looked decent again and made a couple of smart saves. Senderos was good enough and had a decent game as...

No internet access at home since Thursday makes Mike a very grumpy man. Being on the phone with Comcast a total of 4.5 hours over that same time frame makes Mike almost unbearable to be around. Having to leave work early today in order to let the technicians in to figure out what’s wrong leaves me fuming.
Yet, that doesn’t compare to what it must have been like to be around me immediately following Saturday’s game against Birmingham City. I know you guys have all discussed it already, but if I might vent for just a second.
I think Arsene nailed it on the head...

Recent Results, history:
1st place Arsenal take on 16th place Birmingham on Saturday. Since the Blues promotion to the Premier League in the 2002/03 season, Arsenal have won 6 meetings, drawing and losing one game each in their 8 matches. In Arsenal’s wins, they have outscored Birmingham 15-0. The only goals that the Blues have scored against Arsenal came in their 2-1 home win (courtesy of a last minute marker by Heskey) in the 2004/05 season. Arsenal can be forgiven for their 0-0 tie at Highbury against the Blues as the game came after the Gunner’s had clinched...

In a match not without controversy, an offside goal by Spurs was cancelled out by what may have been a hand-of-Walcott equalizer 12 minutes from time as an underperforming Arsenal drew 1-1 with Spuds in the 1st leg of the Carling Cup Semis tonight at the Grove.
As nice as it was to hear the chants of “You’ll Never Beat The Arsenal!”, Arsenal really were crap for the majority of the match, and should count themselves quite lucky to have gotten a result at all.
Spuds’ away goal looms large, but there’s still reason to be confident that the Gunners will...
