The boredom of the international injury break is over. Fans can return to real football and for Arsenal that means a jam packed month ahead with games coming every 3 or 4 days – the only exception being that Arsenal get a whole 5 days gap in between their games with Liverpool & Boro on the 21st and 26th respectively. And if Arsenal get past the quarters of the CL, then that pattern of having a game every 3 or 4 days would continue into mid-May. So Arsenal’s busy schedule starts this Saturday against Man City, the last team to beat Arsenal in the league all the way back on Nov 22. Time for the Gunners to set things right with a bit of revenge!
As is traditional with the international break, a few injuries to Arsenal players happened — Van Persie, Eduardo, Diaby are out while Nasri, Bendtner and Vela (due to his long flight back) might also miss out. On a positive note, Cesc, Ade and Walcott will be returning. Arsenal would need everyone as their critical run starts. Every game is a must win at this stage as Arsenal can certainly more than salvage their season by winning a trophy (or two) and trying to break into the top 3 in the league, thereby ensuring automatic qualification for next year’s CL.
