Arsenal in the Movie Goal II

Hey there!

I just saw Goal II (The Dream Continues) last night. For folks not familiar with it, the “Goal!” series is a soccer-themed movie trilogy about a Mexican-American making it in Europe. In part 1 he played for Newcastle United. In part 2 he is playing for Real Madrid and in the climax of the movie they are playing Arsenal in the Champions League Final. Even though it was a work of fiction, it was great seeing Thierry Henry again in an Arsenal uniform on the pitch!

Hey,I’ll be travelling to London at the end of September,and was wondering if anyone out there knows what the best way to get tickets to the Arsenal v. Hull match?I am a member of Arsenal.com,albeit only a red member…Do I have to up my membership in order to ensure that I get tickets?And if it’s “sold-out”Is there any way to get tickets without selling my soul
in exchange?

Villarreal vs Arsenal

Arsenal’s quest for the Champions League starts off in the El Madrigal against a Villarreal side who are still talking of revenge for that 0-0 draw 3 years ago when Jens Lehmann saved Juan Román Riquelme’s last minute penalty to take Arsenal to the Champions League final. Away wins in Spain have been hard to come by for Arsenal in the CL, with only two wins in the last 9 away trips — that famous 1-0 away win to Madrid also came in the 2006 campaign and a 3-2 win over Celta Vigo in the 2003/04 season. The remaining 7 games ended in 2 draws (besides the 0-0 draw away to Villarreal, there was that 1-1 away tie in Barcelona in the 99/00 season) and 5 defeats — 3-1 to Sevilla, 2-1 and 1-0 to Valencia, 2-0 to Deportivo and 1-0 to Mallorca.
