New Officers named for ArsenalAmerica

Greetings from Arsenal America central command.

We’ve just gone through the applications for our officer election and we have been able to find four new people who will be servicing as officers for Arsenal America next year (the various offices were uncontested, so no need for a big election). Arsenal America’s Board of Directors is very pleased to announce your new Arsenal America Officers for the coming year:

David Kilpatrick, President
David’s first trip to Highbury was New Year’s Eve, 1994, and he’s been a passionate Gooner ever since. He teaches literature and philosophy at Mercy College, where he’s also an assistant coach on the men’s soccer team. He is the President/Commissioner of ADFH United/AYSO 324 in southern Westchester County, NY. He plays and coaches for a number of teams but takes special pride in having worn the #10 shirt for Arsenal America in London and Manhattan.

Josh Templeton, Vice-President,
Josh is software consultant who comes from a family of Gooners (his wife, sister, and brother all support the Arsenal). Originally, from Owings Mills, Maryland (just outside of Baltimore). His passion for Arsenal started in high school, and Ian Wright was an early inspiration, at a time when his only way to see the scores was to read them in the New York Times. Josh never misses a match and has seen several at Ashburton Grove. He fancies himself a “not-too-shabby Patrick Viera” when playing in weekly pick-up games. Along with former Arsenal America officer, Mike Kavanaugh, Josh is determined to build the Baltimore Branch of AA into a vibrant supporters group.

Mark Barbeau, Secretary
Mark is a native San Franciscan, who comes to Arsenal America with a background in human resources, non-profit work, and music and event production. His support of Arsenal occurred as a result of a convergence of events, but it was the one match he attended at Highbury that cemented his obsession. Mark manages the AA San Francisco Branch Office AKA the Bay Area Gooners, and the SF Gooner website: http://www.sfgooner.com.

Shona Sabnis, Ambassador without Portfolio
Shona found her way to Arsenal via Thierry Henry (and her friend Dave), and is still not quite over the fact that he left. She has been to the Emirates twice, but sadly missed Cesc to injury both times. A public relations consultant inNew York, she is currently spending her time nursing her post-surgery knee back to health.

All of our officers are committed to maintaining Arsenal America as a vital, professional and fun part of the American Arsenal community. You may notice some changes to the site in the coming year and your comments/suggestions are always welcome.
