Arsenal v. Sp*rs . . . North London Derby Resumes

Nikky B v Tottenham

The pumpkins are out . . . candy is out and ready to be ingested by children across the country . . . the costumes are ready . . . and ironically enough, our villainous neighbors are putting on their costumes too:

Robbie KeaneBaby in a diaper, with a pacifier to shut him up Ghost . . . non existent entity.  (His costume was purchased at the jerk store)

Peter CrouchWhere’s Waldo with the stupid striped shirt that doesn’t fit his freakishly long arms One trick pony . . .

David BentleyHe’s wearing his old Arsenal kit, as he knows that will be the closest he will ever be to silverware Can’t fool us twice!

It will be great to see the Spuds wearing all of their costumes on Saturday.  I wonder what our lads will wear out?

Cesc Fabregas – Superman

Robin VanPersie – Chocolate bar

Andrey Arshavin – Mighty Mouse

William Gallas – Angry Frenchman

Last year we took only two points away from both fixtures.  This season will not be a repeat of last . . . I can assure you of that.  Mr. Mighty Mouse himself sent me an e-mail this week ensuring me that he will get at least two goals.  I believe he will deliver.

Make sure to check out where you can watch this match on the Arsenal America Branches and Viewing tab.  The kick off is 8:45AM EDT.  The game is on ESPN and will be in HD . . . WOO HOO . . . it’s about time . . . HD!  HD!  HD!  HD!

Set your alarm.  Get your costume out.  And get ready for a great game, and some good old fashioned holiday revenge.  Ironic that we play the Spuds on October 31st . . . mmmuuuaahhahahahaha!

COME ON YOU GUNNERS!

Champions League Resumes . . . Arsenal v. AZ Alkmaar

Thank goodness that international breaks are . . . well, just that . . . breaks.  I could hardly sleep with the anticipation of Arsenal taking on Birmingham on Saturday.  Wait, did I just say, I could hardly sleep because of a match against Birmingham . . . I did.  Well, it wasn’t our prettiest game this season, but we did what needed to be done, and walked away with 3 points.  The 3 points were even sweeter as Chelsea lost to Villa and Liverpool were beaten by their own beach ball . . . yes a beach ball folks (see blow) . . .

So I sent an e-mail to the Arsenal “promotion” department, and told them to take beach balls off of the list of freebies to give away at Emirates.  That settles that.  Sadly, little baby Theo Walcott picked up yet another injury.   Don’t other teams know to just leave him alone and let him run really really fast?  I guess that e-mail has not made its way through the lower teams in the EPL.

Beach Ball Liverpool

If you missed the goals, you can see them all here.

So with Manchester City drawing with Wigan on Sunday, we sit 4th in the table with a game in hand.

Champions League football returns on Tuesday as Arsenal travels to the Netherlands to take on AZ Alkmaar.  The game kicks off at 2:45PM EDT.  Check with your local Branches for viewing locations and times.  The game is important, as we look to finish atop our group, and move beyond the group stages of the competition.

If you haven’t checked this out already . . . get on it . . . Arsenal has just rolled out the first official “Arsenal App” for the iPod Touch and the iPhone.  I downloaded it this weekend, and it is pretty slick.  They are going to be linking it with Arsenal TV, which will give you access to all of the video and match commentary that you get through Arsenal TV.  Click here for more information.

That was all for now.  Make sure to get out and support your Gooners this Tuesday.  We face off against West Ham on Saturday.  They have been playing like rubbish, but this is a derby match, and they will be looking for 3 points.

First up AZ Alkmaar . . . COME ON YOU GUNNERS!
