Arsenal v. Birmingham City . . . Match Viewing and More . . .

Arsenal Americans!  The international break is over.  For the most part, our international players came back to London relatively unscathed.  There were a few players who picked up some knocks, but for the most part, we should be good to go for Saturday’s match.  Manuel Almunia will most likely start in goal.  Come on clean sheets!
Eduardo leg break

If you remember, this will be the first time we have played Birmingham City since the Eduardo leg break from last season .

I am sure that all of the players will have remembered that horrific day.  You know what they say . . . “A Gunner NEVER Forgets” . . . Ok, I made that up, but I certainly have not forgotten about last year’s match . . . and I want some revenge!  The previously mentioned incident will add fuel to the lad’s fire.

So here are a few quick updates from our world:

Arsenal on iPhone and iPod Touch - For those of you that have an iPhone or iPod Touch, Arsenal has just rolled out the official Arsenal App.  It is pretty slick, and gives you all the Arsenal information that you need, right at your fingertips.  Check it out!  (Thanks to Ali in Baltimore for scoping this out!)

Saturday Match Viewing Locations - Many have asked where they can go to watch Arsenal with other Gooners.  If you click on the Branches tab, you can connect with your local supporters groups.  Pubs are listed along with your local Branch Manager.  Remember, this Saturday’s game is only viewable on Setanta Xtra.  The kick off is 9:55AM EDT.

Arsenal USA - If you haven’t been to the new Arsenal USA web site . . . well, you are missing some great information about Arsenal, from an American perspective.  Make sure to check it out!

That was all for now.  Have a great weekend!

Arsenal v Blackburn 10-04-09

Well, if you didn’t hear this already . . . Blackburn got a good old fashioned beat down via our Gunnin Gunners.  What a delightful game of footie.  Everyone got a touch, and many scored . . . the commentators were crap, but the game was a delight.  What a great game, and what a great time to be a Gooner.  Yes, it has been a while since we have won silverware, but hey . . . this could be the magical year!  Well, there is more in store for everyone . . . we just have to make it through the inter-lull (sigh).  Our next match is against Birmingham (Yes, that is the team that snapped Eduardo’s left ankle . . . can we say Eduardo hat trick!) on Saturday, October 17th at 10:00AM EDT.   Check with your local supporters group to see where you can cheer The Arsenal on in your area.
