Paid Registration 2007-08 Season
We have two types of membership:
1) Free membership: that allows you to post and comment on stories we publish every day. You will need to register here: ArsenalAmerica.com.
2) Premium Membership, which gets you access to our ticket assistance program, roadtrips and makes you eligibile for a few free giveaways we sponsor each year. We also ocassionaly get discounts from the Arsenal store that we pass along to you. You still need to register first at ArsenalAmerica.com and then come back and fill out the form below. at ArsenalAmerica.com for free access to the website, allowing you to post.
Dues are $20 a season, and are due at the start of each season (you pay by the season). No new Premium Members are allowed after February. This is important, because if you want our help in tickets in the Spring, you better be a member by Christmas. We only charge it because we are forced to by Arsenal. V-e-r-y Long story.
FAQ About Membership and Tickets
Q: What do I get for registering? A: You’ll get a membership card which you may be asked to present to claim tickets in London (we’re still working out the details of this)
Q: My wife / husband / friend / son / daughter and I both want to register. Should I just pay twice? A: If you are requesting mulitple tickets for multiple people, each person will need to be a member of ArsenalAmerica, meaning you have to sign up each person and pay for each person. We know this sounds a bit anal, but we’re under very strict requirements that Arsenal fans (and only Arsenal fans) be given assistance in finding tickets. There is nothing we hate more than a bunch of ‘oh, Arsenal is a soccer team?’ kind of fans asking for our tickets while a die-hard member who can name every captain back to the ‘It’s-up-for-Grabs-Now’ game can’t get into the stadium.
Q. I’ll be in London on business with some colleagues and family. Can I get some tickets for them too? A: No. Our tickets are reserved for serious Arsenal fans only. If your son or daughter is a big fan, then sign them up and we’ll do what we can, but if it is someone who just happens to be with you on a trip to London, please ask them go to the British Musuem or the London Eye or Madam Tussards while you are watching the game.
Q: Do I have to be a premium member to participate in the discussion on ArsenalAmerica.com A: No, absolutely not
Q: I don’t trust paypal, can I pay by check A: Yes, the address will be display at the appropriate point in the registration process, but be advised, you really should get over your fears of paypal because paying by check / cash is a royal pain for us.
Q: How long does it take to get a card? A: We’ve been swamped by requests and have had to redo our processing system several times due to errors, duplicates, etc. If you don’t get it within a month, you can email membership@arsenalamerica.com
Q: I don’t live in the US, can I still be a premium member? A: No. We can only accept payments from US and Candian members. We welcome people from around the world to participate in ArsenalAmerica.com, but the rules ONLY allow subscriptions from US residents and those Canadian residents who were members of ArsenalAmerica in 2005 or years prior.
Q: Is this the same as membership at Arsenal.com? A: No, this is different. If you want the benefits of being an Arsenal.com member, you must register there.
Q: If I want a ticket, do I just call Arsenal and present my id? A: No. You need to request our assistance by following these instructions.
Q: Does being a member mean I am guaranteed tickets? A: Absolutely not. We have 7-10 season tickets per game and often pick up spares from other supporters clubs. We try to get as many over as possible, but often our requests exceed our ability. Last year, we had one match with 150 requests but only 5 tickets, so if you are trying for the ‘big games’ (ManU, Chelsea, etc) you shouldn’t get your hopes up.
Q: When do I pay for a ticket? A: Usually when you get a confirmation from our ticketmaster that we have found tickets for you, and then you must pay right away. More here at these instructions.
