Portsmouth swoop in to take another veteran Arsenal defender.
Lauren is headed to a good Portsmouth team. He will make them better on defense… guaranteed.
Nothing but good solid play from Lauren in his time at Arsenal. Part of all the titles in recent years… never shoots his mouth off… no bullshite… no showboating or diving… JUST a CLASS PLAYER, who always gave his all.
Sorry, but this one doesn’t make any sense.
Lauren is BETTER than anyone we currently...

I hope the two victories over Liverpool at Anfield will finally convince the doubters our youth policy is carrying us into a RIGHT direction.
Put it this way: you look at Liverpool, they were disappointed in two games. They probably would improve a bit in the future. Or probably would go out and buy a few players in the January transfer window or the coming summer. But the problem facing them is - unless their take-over talk becomes a reality, they simply have no financial strength to match with Chelsea for the best talent available. So they will again go for the second best - the...

When news came saying Henry would be out for a few weeks, my first reaction was - he was DROPPED.
Yes, perhaps he did has an injury, but I did not believe it’s serious enought to keep him away for a few weeks.
His form was indifferent. And he hardly seemed like trying at all on the pitch. Something had to be done. I remember DannyT once suggested Wenger would never has the nerve to drop his star man. I, too, shared Danny’s view.
But Wenger proved us wrong.

So the Arsenal Americans invaded London a few weeks back, and they kept our unbeaten record going when we’re in attendence. Kudos and well done.
I have not seen anybody telling the story of the new stadium… and I would love to hear what the impressions are of the Emirates Stadium, and the positives and negatives as seen from fresh eyes.
How about a compare and contrast with Highbury?
How about what you liked or disliked about the new home of football…
I hope to go in the next few months, and I am really curious to the impressions of our own Arsenal...

Thats the answer. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
I feel … angry. Dissapointed. Its tangible. People at my job have noticed. My wife knows why. How exactly as an Arsenal supporter in America, can you explain that you are sick to your stomach, because the Arsenal’s season is in tatters, and its only November 30th?? 99% of them would say, what the hell are you on about??
Yes, I hoped we could compete for the title this year. COMPETE. I hoped we would be battling into the Spring with a shout. I didn’t think it would be over before December even got here....

I don’t think Wenger has “lost the plot” like some suggest. Managers either have THAT ability or they don’t. They don’t suddenly “lost it” just because the team has not been doing well. I heard the same thing again and again when people said Alex Ferguson had “lost the plot” in the past. Do people still think he has now?
The way I see it - When Wenger bought van Persie and Adebayor, he must have thought to himself, “I now have a player with skills and talent (van Persie), and a player with a physical presence (Adebayor)....

I can’t believe Henry is not even shorlisted in the World Player of the Year Award!
To top it off, they’ve got Zidane in the final 3!
Are you kidding me?
What exactly did Zidane do last season? His World Cup performance was average at best. He won the Golden Ball simply because every other major star was rubbish during the World Cup.
No doubt we can’t call Henry a big game player. I guess that’s why he’s lost it year, after year, after year. However, does the judging panel rate CONSISTENCY at all?
Talking about playing...

As many of you are aware… I have been banging on the Jeremie Aliadiare drum for most of the season. Frankly, I think he deserves a legitimate shot at the first team, and a run of a few games at the very least.
I don’t think RVP or Adebayor have proven to be the prolific scorers we hoped they would be… and you know what, they aren’t even players that can set up goals for others. Robert Pires could do BOTH… bang in the much needed goal at the opportune time, AND, set up Thierry Henry with great passing as well.
RVP and Ade lack consistency and neither...

…wins championships. Yes, it was indeed a sight to behold yesterday as Arsenal played some very nice champagne football. Great, one-touch passing as three, four and even five players poured forth into attack.
But let’s not forget what great runs are built on - a solid defense. Through eight EPL matches the Arsenal have allowed four goals. That is how you string together five wins and climb into the top four.
A potent offense, as we have seen over and over again in many sports (Yankees anyone?), doesn’t always click. Just a little glitch can wreck the finely tuned...

Solid victory this weekend, albeit over lowly Watford. Walcott has got crazy speed and some skill to boot. Rosicky is, in a word, dangerous. Another clean sheet as well.
It’s going to be very tempting for some people to start talking about challenging for the League, or wrapping up qualification for the next round of the Champs League. It’s going to be easy to start singing the praises of certain players. That’s all fine, but remember, a poor result and we’re going to hear from others claiming this player or that one is crap. Or that Wenger hasn’t learned...
