I just read that Stan “the man” Collymore is attempting a comeback to football after being out of the Prem. for 5 years!!

First of all, let me just say that I have a soft spot for Stan Collymore. Why? you might ask? Good question.

Jose Antonio Reyes has been quoted by the Spanish press as saying that his Arsenal career is all but over. However, most reports indicate that no suitable bids have been made. In fact, the gaffer was quoted recently as saying, “It?s like you wanting to marry Miss World and she doesn?t want you. I can try to help you but if she does not want to marry you what can I do?”

Laugh all we want at Wenger’s witty remarks, but the more that Reyes blabs, the more his value diminishes. In fact, Atletico Madrid...

We don’t overpay, and we don’t buy British… just the facts really!
However… up north… quietly… ManU is doing … both! Good or Bad? You be the judge.

I’ve seen people writing off Manchester United on this site, fairly regularly… and I am usually baffled by it. You knew/know they are going to spend money and make moves to improve. They always do. They had a big hole to fill in their midfield, and they are definitely taking some big steps to fill it… and not for the short term either. (see: Edgar Davids)

Then there are...

I haven’t been posting regularly as my schedule has been crazy. How crazy? Well, so far this year I’ve been to England (March), Germany (April) Monaco (May), Germany (June/July) and England/Hungary (July/August). I’ve been to see Arsenal, the Monaco Grand Prix, The World Cup and the Hungarian Grand Prix. I’ve hung out with Lothar Matthaus, met Lukas Podolski and been on the plane next to Wyclef Jean. The highlight though was dinner with Rick B at the Morrocan place.

But now a new season begins. What does it hold for the Arsenal? Here’s what I see…...

So we continue to move slooooooooooowly… very patiently. Hand close to the vest. Keeping it under our hat. Mr.Wenger saying very little, as usual.

Well… my impatience is KILLING ME!
Perhaps watching Dennis’s testimonial will calm me down and lift my spirits a bit…

but the facts are…
Barcelona won the CL and are 2-time defending LaLiga Champions. They have signed Zambrotta and Thuram. (both of them would have fit nicely in our team)

Chelsea have won the league easily for 2 consecutive years, and have brought in Ballack and Schevy…...

Every Gooner knows it’s a conspiracy. Thus, it’s no surprise to see the headlines yesterday and today.

First off, the BBC is reporting that Arsenal may face disciplinary action from the FA, UEFA, and FIFA for an under the table loan made to Belgian club, Bevern, the club where Emmanuel Eboue came from, with whom Arsenal have a public working relationship.

It seems to be much ado about nothing, but decide for yourself. Check the NewsNow feeds to the left.

Then, today, vice-chairman David Dein was voted off of the FA Board, and was replaced by Gill from ManUre.

Again,...

OK… let the off-season games begin!
Now, if we had held on and won the CUP… I’d have been able to laugh, smile and enjoy the parade, video, and all that goes along with it… for at least a week!
But we lost. It’s a bitter pill to swallow. I’m already thinking of who we need, what we need and what will happen with this team for next season.
Yes… 24 hours later, its already begun!

OK… first question.
Do you make moves BEFORE the World Cup? or AFTER? Good showings will raise the prices of players… but if you sign...

Ultimately, as much as we tell ourselves and each other how Arsenal FC are ‘more than a club’ or more than a mere team, it boils down to an entertainment product. That being said, I think you be hard pressed to find a better value for your time/money than Arsenal, and this season was more than worth the price (monetary, psychological or otherwise).

In fact, let’s just say that we all spent 100 “Arsebucks” this season supporting the team. How much value did you get for your hundred?

In the history of the club - more than 100 years - you would have to...

There is a saying (either German or Dutch, can’t remember) that goes: The ball is round.

It means that you never know what is going to happen, sometimes it goes your way, sometimes it doesn’t. Last night, for 70+ minutes I really thought it was going to be for Arsenal. They caught a couple of breaks (Eboue’s dive, Eto’o off the post) and they took a couple in the shorts (Lehmann’s red, goals that, sturck a little to the right or left would have bounced away, not in).

But that’s football and in the end Barcelona came out on top. They are a worthy...

In this age of hyberbole and hype, it’s easy to get carried away. Everything now is either ‘the greatest ever’ or ‘the worst disaster known to man.’ And yet, there is no denying that this is indeed a positively massive game for the Arsenal. Yes, there is much at stake, but a careful examination shows that this game shouldn’t (and doesn’t need to be) blown out of proportion.

Let’s start with the club:

For Arsenal FC this is simply the most important European match ever. Getting to this match goes some way to validating the club as...
