Thanks to everyone who entered yesterday’s t-shirt giveaway, sponsored by our friends at Arseshirts.com.

Surprisingly, only thirteen people had the correct answer, which of course was Coventry City 0 - 1 Arsenal on Halloween, October 31, 1998.

My co-worker, Lynn, picked three names out of the hat, and so congratulations go to:

Craig Anderson, Dave Yong, and Nick Heslip

I’ll be contacting you three gentlemen later on today.

Thanks again to Arseshirts.com,...

Thanks to everyone who turned up at Maggie McGarrys. We had a small but loyal group of Bay Area Gooners for the weekend match against Liverpool. Despite a congenial atmosphere, the only person in a Liverpool kit departed at half-time. Unfortunately, the pictures came out a bit blurred (impaired photographer methinks), so you’ll just have to take my word for it.

The report from Mad Dog In The Fog was that they got a good turnout, which was split down the middle in terms of Arsenal and Liverpool supporters.

Seeing as these seem to be the only two options for pubs that open...

Hello, my name is Tim and I’m a Gooner. Actually, I’m a northwest Gooner. Ok, full disclosure; I’m the Seattle/Tacoma rep for Arsenal America and I live in Tacoma.

Yesterday I received an email from some fellow Seattle/Tacoma Arsenal fans, which means that there are more than one of us up here! Well, how many are there? I don’t know, but I’m hoping this article will help me find out.

What I’d like to do is have a first ever Seattle/Tacoma Arsenal America mixer. We can get together, brag about how many times we’ve been to Highbury/Emirates...

Update: I will have a couple (3 to be exact) of the brand new Arsenal America t-shirts with me for sale! First come, first serve!

OK, Bay Area Gooners . . .

The San Francisco Branch of Arsenal America invites you to turn out and cheer the Gunners on in their first real test of the season as they travel to Anfield for this Sunday’s match against Liverpool!

We’re aware that some local supporters favor Mad Dog in the Fog, but we’re going to be trying out a relatively new location for this occasion.

Maggie McGarrys, a pub...

Yours truly was asked recently to “sit down” for an interview with Tim Love of Arsenal Insider.

During the interview we discuss how I came to love the Arsenal; Rick Liebling and the formation of Arsenal America; the growth of football/soccer in the United States, and much more.

Check out what Tim promises to be the first of many interviews posted each Friday featuring Gooners from the world over: Arsenal Insider - Arsenal Fans Around the World: Arsenal America

Thanks...

Arguably the world’s most famous Gooner, Nick Hornby will be touring the United States this month starting with a stop in New York on Tuesday in support of his newest book, Slam.

The author of such modern-day classics as High Fidelity, About A Boy, and of course the Gooner manifesto, Fever Pitch, will be hitting several cities across the US, so there will be several opportunities to go out and support a fellow Arsenal...

I have some news regarding another change to the Arsenal America board. David Connick has stepped down as treasurer. In his place, Nick Kosiek of Philadelphia will be assuming the role. Nick is a charter member of Arsenal America, and it was agreed by the rest of the board that he would be a good fit. You’ll remember that this is the second change to take place this past year after Brad Hudson resigned as secretary. David Przyblinski of Kansas City was nominated and accepted the role.

Please join me in thanking Nick for volunteering, and in wishing him the best of luck. Also,...

It seems as though there are some folks having trouble signing up as Premium Members for the 2007-08 season. Apparently, a 404 error appears after the submit button is clicked. We’re not able to easily lock down this problem because the majority of the people are able to click the link successfully and have the PayPal screen come up. It could be a bad DNS server (very common problem with Comcast, Verizon, etc).
There is however, a workaround. If you find that you just keep getting the 404 error, please go to PayPal directly (http://www.paypal.com)....
