The Legend returns – Redux

There are so many words I could use to describe the feelings of myself and most other Arsenal fans after Monday night’s victory over Leeds United in the third round of the FA Cup.  Surreal.  Disbelief.  Pride.  It was better than any script that could have been written.  It was a moment that dreams are made of.  Immediately after it happened, I wrote in to the studio of the Arsenal Fans’ Forum and this is all I could say:

Absolutely unreal.  It’s almost hard to believe this is real life.  Am I dreaming?  Watching The King score another Arsenal goal was a dream I never thought would come true.  Thank you Arsene.  Thank you King Henry. Read More …

Frustrated but Not Fuming

I hate to start an article off with something other than a short recap of the most recent result and I detest my urge to complain about refereeing on a regular basis, but those are two things I am changing for today.  Lee Probert should lose his refereeing qualifications for his two most recent performances.  In the last match he refereed, he made a severe mistake and in the game between Fulham and Arsenal he was nothing short of abysmal.   I can see from a referee’s point of view that it seemed Gervinho went down easily (although replays confirmed both feet were swept by Senderos).  Read More …

New Year Resolutions

Arsenal Football Club managed to end a turbulent 2011 season on a high with a 1-0 win over QPR on New Years Eve.  With the win, came a jump into the Champions League places for the first time this season.  And after the way the first five matches of the season started, few people would have given the Gunners a chance to have broken into the top 4 by the midway point of the campaign.
