Arsenal’s hopes for a top four finish (and for finishing above the scum) took a huge dent on Sunday as Manchester United completed the double over the Gunners by way of a 2-1 scoreline.  There has been a great deal of disgruntled talk since the match by many fans and it’s hard not to agree with them.  The substitution is the big talking point for most people but I think from a fans perspective there are many other positives and negatives to be taken away from what was our 3rd league defeat on the trot. A Humbling Weekend

After Wednesday and the gritty, well-earned victory against Udinese on Italian soil, I was hoping to be able to write a positive article on the progress that Arsenal was making.  A signing or two, maybe even a draw away to Manchester United would have made this a much more enjoyable task.  Apparently, Hurricane Irene not only wiped out part of the east coast of the United States, but also all the experienced players from the Arsenal team.  Read More …

A Real Fever Pitch

From the moment I booked my trip to watch Arsenal vs. Manchester United, all of my friends relished the opportunity to tell me I’m crazy. Spend a significant amount of money just to watch a football match and only stay for 1 weekend? After countless justifications, I began to wonder myself if I was indeed a little crazy. After walking out of the Emirates with thousands of other boisterous Arsenal fans, I quickly concluded that I was definitely crazy – crazy over Arsenal. The entire weekend was surreal. My best friend, a fellow diehard American Arsenal supporter, flew in to meet me for this magical event.  Though we did our fair share of sightseeing, we were in London for one reason – our beloved Arsenal.
