I’m going to try and keep this short.

Wenger has brought us some beautiful football over the years and when it worked we applauded their beautiful game and when it doesn’t we try to analyse why. Some of the following reasons has been given by both pundits and Arsenal fans alike:

1) We are unlucky with many injuries to key players
2) Our kids are still learning, not enough experience
3) Teams prevent us from play by “kicking us off the pitch”
4) We didn’t get the ref decisions when it mattered
5) Our players weren’t committed...

The last televised match of the season is a contender for worst match of the season, as a second-string Gunners side defeats an over-cautious Everton 1-0 at the Grove this morning.

After ManUre’s big win over West Ham yesterday, Arsenal really had nothing to play for, so Arsene sent a lot of non-starters out on the pitch, continuing the trend started at Derby on Monday.

There were very few chances for either side, but finally in the 76th minute, Nick Bendtner headed a cross into the net to give the Gunners the 1-0 win.

Interesting that Mathieu Flamini did not play...

The penultimate game of a season that we’ll all remember for a variety of reasons. The ManU win means that we’re officially out of the running for the EPL title. I haven’t been able to watch any football apart from a few scraps of the CL game primarily cause I can’t bear to watch an English team do so well and we not even being involved. I can’t even honestly say that we weren’t good enough..well result wise yes as some of our wise realists will point out..but football wise I think we deserved better.

I’m also not sure what the loss of Keith Edelman...

I am compiling a list of players we can sell this summer. Two simple criteria

1. Spent enough time at Arsenal and not proved themselves, but taking up a first team position, thereby giving a false sense of depth to the squad

2. Sale value which can be added to the transfer kitty so badly needed this summer.

Here is my list.

1. Hoyte: It seems crazy to keep a backup RB of his quality when we have so many others who can fill that position when required and do a better job than him. Being British, he would fetch a tidy sum. Villa need a RB when Mellberg leaves in the...

Just wanted to post something to capture any talk regarding the European games, some goal scoring stats or other Arsenal related topics:

Champs League:

Game 1: Man Utd vs Barca

It will be interesting to see if Barca can salvage their season at Old Trafford. Although a goal scoring draw will do for Barca and draws has been something they have had plenty of in La Liga. Barca’s 10 ties is the most of any of the top 5 teams.

Game 2: Guess the Score?

The last 7 Champs League ties between Liverpool & Chelsea have ended with the following scores:...

Adebayor’s hat-trick plus goals from Van Persie, Bendtner & Walcott earned Arsenal a 6-2 away win and moved the Gunners to within 4 points of Man Utd and Chelsea at the top of the table.

In the opening 20 minutes or so, Derby had a decent spell putting Arsenal under pressure. Things changed in the 25th minute when Moore gave the ball straight to Bendtner who put Arsenal ahead in the 25th minute after exchanging passes with Van Persie. Unfortunately, the lead didn’t last too long as a set-piece led to Derby’s McEveley tying things up (31st min). But Van Persie restored...

Two Previews — LDE’s take is after the following

Ah the irony. Arsenal get a long break in between league games when they don’t need it.Ofcourse, the break also means the team should be ready for their 36th league game, provided most of them are not already thinking of vacation. Since after Chelsea’s win on Saturday and Liverpool’s dropped points, this Monday night game is important because a win would mean:

  • Arsenal can lock up third place
  • Arsenal would move to within 4 points of the top of the table
  • Now, if Arsenal along...

It seems every time Henry has a bad touch of the ball, two articles get written in Spain describing Henry’s failure. Considering that Henry gave Arsenal fans so many great memories, it is not very pleasant to see Henry criticized so much. Negative articles about him were being written in the first half of the season but recently they have increased as end of the European season approaches. So in a way it was very refreshing to see a mini documentary film on Henry on the Independent Film Channel (IFC) last month. The film was directed by the lovely Paz Vega (yes the actress) and was...
